Hello Fellow Canadian Brides! We are getting married on 11-11-13 at the Paradisus Punta Cana. I need some help! Does anyone know where to find either clear or turquoise square, plastic/acrylic vases? I am making my own centrepieces and can't seem to find ANY! I've checked Michael's, Solutions, Loblaws/Superstore ... and online. If anyone has found some, would you mind letting me know from where?   Greatly appreciated!! Congrautlations to everyone :) Ideal measurements: 5" x 5" x 5"Concept-Cube-Vase-Turquoise-3120133xl.jpg
Have you tried floral wholesalers? That or retail display stores. You can usually find them for a pretty good price. some smaller plastic manufacturing companies in your area would probably make them for you as well.

Now that we are back, I am looking for places where we can do our wedding album for a good deal. Our photographer gave us quote, but I want to look around to see if there are deal in the GTA area that I don't know about. Maybe some of you ladies have some insider information for a good deal. Would love to hea

Congrats mizpriya!

I just finished our photobook with Adoramapix. We ordered one a little while ago and love it. They have a sale on right now until the end of May for 30% off which is great! I finally decided on them after reading MANY reviews from www.photobookgirl.com. I would definately recommend that website to anyone looking into different photobook companies or ideas.O

On another note, we have been back for awhile and I finally finished my planning thread. It kinda got short near the end, but I'm willing to answer any questions any one has as this website has been a huge help for me in planning my weddin and getting ideas.

so THANK YOU!!

They are seriously amazing. My sister (maid of honour) asked me to try it on and send her a picture since we have basically exactly the same body type, and I feel in love. May get my own some day!

The white thing is the tag. I seriously just wrapped it around my waist to try it, I can only imagine actually trying to tie it nicely!

They come in a plastic bag.. not the best but they were fine!

What colour did you get? We got the Sodalite Blue.

For anyone considering these dresses, they are FANTASTIC.. I wish I had bought one for myself! All of my bridesmaids love them. (Although I think one is going to try to hem it up.. I guess you can't please everyone!)

These look awesome. So many options

Hi all Canadian brides to be (or past brides!)

I am wondering how you guys have made out with finding suits for your men and their groomsmen. My fiancé tried on some suits this weekend (we are planning a wedding for early-ish 2014) at Mexx, etc. and it got me thinking about how others may have found this process!

I was pretty thrilled he wanted to try on stuff so early, love it! ;)

Anyways, how did you guys go about choosing your suits? I found that a lot of the regular stores (e.g. Moores, Tip Top, etc) don't have tons of light colored suits (e.g. beige/light grey) and was wondering about ordering online, etc.

Also, did you ladies have a preference for what color the groom wore? My fiancé was thinking beige/linen color but I know he may change his mind on this. I guess I just wanted to see how other people also went about discussing the whole suit idea!

I am letting the groom do his own thing for him and his groomsmen.  I think they will likely do white shirts and tan pants.  He also has a groomslady and I think she might do a tan dress or tan capris and a white shirt.

The groom will likely wear a light colored Hugo Boss suit.  Boss has tons of nice stuff for destination weddings but it is a bit pricey.  They can give you a ton of ideas for what is in this season for mens destination wedding wear.

FI and I talked about this together. We had the same idea. White linen shirt with khaki coloured linen pants. We ended up changing that to white pants for him (yes, we will both be in all white) because his best man will be in khaki coloured pants. It will be pretty casual.

We knew what we wanted and then just kept our eyes open for sales and availability. It was easier for us though - we did not want a suit. FI actually does not mind wearing a suit most of the time, but I would like him to stay conscious during the July beach ceremony. Hahaha. Price and comfort was pretty high on our priority list.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
