I'm wondering if anyone is getting or has been married at the Beach Palace Cancun. We're thinking of having a May wedding but before I even go down there to look at hotels I want to know how much my guests would be expected to pay for their trip. I don't want to have my wedding where only a few people can afford it.

I'm from Calgary, any brides who were able to keep their guests' trip costs at $1500 or under? Where did you go and what month did you get married?

Hey Sofi,

I would probably contact a travel agent.  They will be able to give you the best idea about cost so far out based on past travel prices.  One out of Calgary would probably be best.

I have heard that beach Palace is lovely!  All the best in your search.

I just want to add, that just as you shop around for your resort, you should shop around for a travel agent also!  They are not all the same, unfortunately :(.  Pick someone that gets back to you in a timely manner, and is willing to go the extra mile and gives you great advice!

Not for the wedding, but we have previously travelled for less than that, even for two weeks. We travel in July and August; prices are sometimes half what they are during peak season. But you have to like the heat! Haha!

In Mexico, we went for two weeks at Palladium Vallarta (I believe it is now Gran Palladium though, so prices are probably higher). On the Mayan side, we went to - and absolutely loved - Grand Sirenis. Pretty good prices at both those places.

Talk to a travel agent. You may find something!

We had that budget as well per person but its all going to depend on when as well as hotel. Are you looking for family or adults only?

We had both so we wanted to give everyone options. BUT it is up to you too that will your list of what you want gets met. People will follow. We went from 1500  to 1789. Not too much more but they can save up the money. This is your day remember and you need to make it the way you want it. That's what I had to learn the hard way.

I completely agree! That's why we are at the resort we are at instead of the Grand Palladium who mixed up our date and then booked our time with someone else. Iberostar got back to us at a timely fashion and has asked any questions we have.

We are at the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana.  We got our trip for $1380 each.  We booked July/August 2012 and our wedding is May 2013.

Help!  Has anyone used Vista Print and used a groupon?  I have my order ready to go on Vistaprint.ca, but I'm having trouble having my groupon applied.  Anyone have any tips?  I'm able to use it on the american site ... but for some reason my order is double to cost on there.

Hey!

We are flying from Toronto to Jamaica and staying at the RIU Ocho Rios....not in Mexico but still tropical. My guests are paying 1299 tax in all inclusive including flights and transfers. Shop around for a T.A. Mine does not even live in the same city as me, I will likely not meet her until my wedding. We are getting married at the e end of November (30th)...after hurricane season, just before peak season :)

We have people flying from Edmonton, Calgary, Kamloops, Vancouver, Grand Prairie and Regina.  For double occupancy for 7 nights all inclusive the prices ranged from $1130-$1350.  Our Calgary packages were $1190 per person and the flights were direct.  The dates for most were Nov 23-Nov 30 and we are staying at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba. I got prices for Barcelo Maya as well and they were under $1500 too but their wedding packages were more expensive than we wanted.  Hope that helps. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
