FYI...I was at Michaels today and they had just unpacked boxes of new items for their "impulse" bins...the items that are usually around $1.50.  No passport covers yet, but two different series of luggage tags (one series was sports-themed...brightly coloured with different balls featured; the other series of luggage tags had interesting geometric patterns more in the neutral tones).

And, they had another new "nautical themed" section as well with starfish (not real) in sets of 3, bags of shells, etc.

If you are getting married in Canada prior to going to Mexico then you don't have to do anything once you get to Mexico.  You would be doing a symbolic ceremony since you would already be legally married and nothing is required.  We did a symbolic and it was the easiest thing ever.  We arrived at the resort late Friday night, met with the WC for about 3 hours on Saturday to confirm location/decorations/menu, etc and then had our symbolic ceremony on Monday.  No passports/papers, etc required for the symbolic ceremony, we did sign a paper at the ceremony to make it look real which was nice since most of our guests didn't know the difference.

Hello ladies! We're back from our vacation of a lifetime! It was the best experience we could every imagine - if you're getting married at Gran Bahia Principe Resorts in Riviera Maya, MX go to the main thread and you'll see my review.

https://picasaweb.google.com/yeemein/TodayWasAFairyTale?authuser=0&feat=directlink - here are the pictures from the Arrecife Studio.

We have more pictures, but waiting to get them from our other photographer. We did TTD pictures at a local public beach close to Tulum Ruins. I don't like to brag, but I think those are going to be gorgeous.

BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES...to-date.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
