So i guess it wouldnt be a wedding without stress. we found a 150$ price drop for our wedding week. when we went to act on our sunwing one time price drop they of course found a way out of it stating it had to be 60 days or more prior to our vaca. WTF!! so i bitched and complained because it was our TA who didnt even know this and told us to look closer to the date! i was soo mad!!!! well after lots of complaining and arguing and fighting they agreed to give everyone a $50 rebate and up grade myself and the Fi to elite seating and gave repselection seating to everyone else!

so beware those who have booked with sunwing that any price drops have to be more than 60 days out! and if not the squeaky wheel gets the grease!!

Thanks for the tip! I think that Transat has the same 60 day policy, but I'll be double checking and staying on top of it!

Glad to hear that you at least got something out of it! Good work!

They are cute!!!  Unfortunately their on-line store is sold out of my size (8) and I'm sure our store here would be the same...the selection is always so poor.   But I will look into it.  Thanks for sharing yunric  :)

I was at Old Navy today and just a heads up for anyone wanting starfish flip flop sandals.  Super cute- gold and blingy- leather sole for 19.94.  NONE in my size... :(  Have to go search- but- lots of bigger sizes!  I'm a 6.

I know this may be easier said than done...but relax and enjoy.  All the months of planning are coming to an end and your day will be perfect & beautiful.

So excited and wanted to share!!!

My dress arrived in December and I went to try it on on Dec 15th.

Knew I wanted to lose some weight but was a little down when I slipped it on and the lining was a little too snug for my liking. msncry.gif

The wonderful woman who owned the Briadal Boutique said you have over 4 months, don't stress...wink.gif and if worse comes to worse...it can be taken out.

Taken out?!?! Hell no!!  There was no way I was having my gown taken out!!!

So as the new year arrived, I swung into action.  Started a cleanse program that my hair stylist had amazing results with and exercised like a mad woman!!!

It paid off ladies.  This week I went for my very first fitting, 18lbs lighter and 23.5 inches smaller.  I was pretty confident the lining in my gown would no longer hug

my hips.  I slipped into the gown, looked into the mirror and almost teared up....I did it!!!

I shared photos with you all back in Dec, and if you don't mind...would like to share with you all once again.

The first two are my Before: Dec photos and third is my After: March photo.

Forgot to snap a photo of the back of my dress this week, but the corset is now to the end and will be taken in so the ribbon can be shown.

Signed....a Very Happy Bride-to-Be

Hi Ladies,

Alright I need some advice.

So I am a cheapo and ordered my dress online. The dress looked amazing and was just what I wanted and even though I am not getting married for another year I bought it.

I got it about a week ago and since I ordered it 2 sizes too small (in the process of losing about 30-40 lbs) I can't try it on and get a good look. However, the ruching looks all wrong on the top but I can't tell if this is just because it is on a hanger and not on a person and because the corset in the back is not done up.

Wondering if perhaps the ruching always looks weird on the hanger but looks better when you get the dress on. It will be about 2 months before I can get it on and have a good look.

Any thoughts?

Nice work. I love the dress and it looks great on you.

In the process of trying to lose about 20lbs to get my dress over my hips. I ordered it 2 sizes too small..he he he. Down 10 lbs since January 9 thanks to my fitness pal.

This was very reassuring seeing how happy you are that you got to where you wanted to be in so little time.

Congrats.

I thought the same when I read your post airica26...is there someone you feel comfortable in asking to try it on for you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
