So jealous that you have everything pretty much done! Did you end up finding your new photog yet?

I saw some invites somewhere (wish I could remember where) that were flip flips - and were super cute. Not sure if that is along the lines you were thinking of - but it's a thought. I think it would be cool to have the AHR invites fall into a travel theme as well, since it was a destination wedding.

Thanks Krysta! I'm sure I'll have a few questions in the coming weeks and months! I had recently stayed at the Riu in November with my fiance (actually I thought the bugger was going to propose then...no such luck) and it's a really nice resort. My brother also went there in January and he had no complaints.

so i think its a really good deal... not the 1500 i wanted to pay but its still good!!

Fingers crossed for you with the photographer!

I totally agree that you might as well have fun with the AHR invites, too! I haven't even thought that far ahead yet. I know my AHR will be very casual, so I assume that my invitations will convey that - but I still want them to be funky/fun!

Let us know what you decide on, I'm sure they will be great!

hey... we didnt really have a theme but if we did i guess it would be beach, our colours are turquoise and white. i like hibscus flowers and used a stamp on our invitiations, but any beachy thing like starfish and plamtrees.

we are doing a outside BBQ so we are going to try to replicate the beachy feel too....

any ideas?!

Just wanted to thank Norma and the other Canadian brides for the well wishes.  We had a wonderful wedding day and lucked in with our weather for sure!  I will be posting my planning thread (after the fact obviously) once I received some of my photog pictures back!  Congrats Krysta on booking a photographer, I truly believe everything happens for a reason and though we lost 2 photographers Amanda Shepard of Backroad Photography who ended up coming with us was ABSOLUTELY the best we could have had!  If anyone is looking for a photographer definitely check her out!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
