We used Weddings By Oceans.....they were great at the start, returned my phone calls, emails, etc. But about 4 months in (right around when our guests started booking) they seemed to fall apart. I think we ended up having 3 different girls assigned to us over the course of the 8 months, and usually I would still have to go over their heads directly to the manager/owner. I got really frustrated with all their mistakes, lack of information and at the end I felt I was babysitting and having to tell them what to do. So from my personal experience...it would have been easier for me to book at 63 guests myself! (I remember waiting to board my plane for my wedding, and calling them because there were still issues with my guests bookings!) Don't know about the other agency.

My girlfriends are asking for ideas for my stagette.  I'm thinking of going to spa for self serve facials and then maybe to hotel room for some drinks?  Anyone have any other ideas??  I'm not really that big of party person anymore.  Went out to much during my university days! Lol!!

Love the other ideas the girls sent out. What about a nice dinner and then back to someone's house for a good old fashioned slumber party. We did one for another girlfriend and had a riot. Rented a few silly old movies, had popcorn, ice cream, etc. For us (since we all live far apart) it was really about spending time together and being able to talk and catch up.

No matter what you choose,  you'll have fun!

Is anyone doing a gift registry?  Neither my fiance or I are expecting gifts since our gusts are paying to travel with us, but I know there will be people who will want to buy something and have asked already.  The only place I could think of online was Sears, but there really isn't anything we need or want from there.  Can anyone think of any other online shops that would offer a nice selection with various price points?

I registered after being asked to by my soon to be mother in law. i registered at the bay (even though everything is extremely overpriced), sears and home outfitters. all 3 have registeries and those are really the last stores that do it.

Weâ€re faced with the same problem! We donâ€t really want to register either, but are planning too soon. A lot of my family isnâ€t coming to the wedding but are insisting on buying us a gift because itâ€s the “proper†thing to do and we didnâ€t want to end up with more towels!

We decided to register at The Bay and probably Sears because a lot of my family doesnâ€t have access to The Bay. Not sure if you have a Crate and Barrel where you are, they have a registry service and lots of cool things in their store!

Good luck!

Congrats and welcome home!!! Your pictures turned out amazing! I love your hair style I would like something very similar. Where did you get your hair flower from? Also where did you get your fiance;s hat? I have been looking every where and haven't been able to find a beige one. Well it looks like you had an amazing time and I can't wait to read your review!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
