Check out our photographer, Derek. He is the owner of Photos in Cancun, advertised on this site. His work is really nice, he gets back to you right away. He is actually originally from Toronto. You get him and Lorena(another photographer) for the price you would normally pay for 2. Read some of his reviews. We are getting the 1000$ package for four hours. I will also post our photos as soon as we have them in January.

Good Luck!

I've been checking out what i like and don't like...  Between Xmas and work schedule- January is when I promised to start!! lol

I hear you about the earrings!  It will also change based on what my hair will look like....  I haven't decided up or down?  I have huge hair- so mexican humidity will be good for 'beachy' hair.

Chelsea will probably do my hair clip- i have a starfish theme and we found a great Swarovski crystal starfish to use, and also bridal barefoot for me and my mom and 3 gf.  I only have one maid of honour- but 3 of my besties will also be there and I though it would be a nice gesture. I have a few bf jewels now- but i want something more... i dunno... bridal??  LOL

My dress came in August and sat there until i did alterations in late September :) dont stress. I do recommend starting to look online and mags and maybe tearing out the dresses and styles you like to bring along with you when you start to dress shop. Even though some of what you think might look great on you may not it will at least give your sales associate something to start with :) I think its great that you have your jewelry but dont be surprised if you find your dress and change your mind on your earrings :)

Thanks and You bet! i love Chelsea! She did my wedding jewelry and my TTD including TTD hair flower. The only thing not purchased from Chelsea was my wedding day hair flower and bracelet :) She is amazing!

Ok, so I am just starting to figure out how this thread business works... Apparently I'm stunned! I posted on here a while ago looking for Vancouver travel agents or planners and then didn't know people wrote back! Just saw the responses now. Duh. Well - the good news is I didn't end up working with Flight Centre (as many of you said) as I heard bad things from other people also. I've moved forward and about to work with Tara Thorp from Forever True Weddings in Vancouver (I also didn't see the suggestions about Blue Petal) and we are waiting to hear back about destination options/costs/dates etc from her travel agent contact (planning Nov 2012 - Jan 2013 wedding)

I've now "subscribed" to this thread so hopefully now I'll know if I get any feedback...but if anyone has an advice going forward, I would welcome it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
