Luvmoo, so sorry to hear about your BM dresses I can't believe the company thinks this is acceptable. Thanks to all the ladies on here you have so many great suggestions ( I really like the sears dress too bad it's not a lighter blue) and I am sure you will be able to find something you like. Hope everything works out and keep us posted. P.s. I love your cake topper going to check the website out now!

First I want to comment on how our page made it to the homepage of BDW thanks to luvmoos dress disaster!!! Not that that is a good thing but as you said Jenn, you have to find some positive in it.  I really liked the visa/pay pal cancellation idea, you can usually get your money back through your credit card company so let us know how that goes.  It is awful that any company would treat anyone that way let alone a bride planning her wedding!!!

I totally forgot about Sears, I know many can only be ordered through the cataloug (prolly online now) as a friend did that for her DW 3 years ago!!!! The dresses were aqua and very cute and fit all the girls great!!!!

I remember that that is one of your colors so I went and checked what sizes they carry and they do carry size 24! Sears also carries petite and regular fit in most dresses.

I included them link, these dresses are on sale right now for 75$..not bad. Since one of my bridesmaids backed out and has her dress in Scotland, I almost thought of getting these dresses for my other two bridesmaids as we had bought red dresses, long before my fiance decided to get his kilt (turquoise).

Anyways, let me know what you think!

Thanks for the shout out!!!! Capecodder, definitely check out what I have posted.  I have not shared everything and got sick of the messages to share my templates with the people who post once but if there is anything you need I'd be happy to pass them along.  I also have a powerpoint boarding pass template that may help you!!!!

Hi Norma,

So glad you found us and glad you made it through our 100 pages!!!!! We were clogging up the canadian OOT thread with our chatter and thought it would be best to get a CANADIAN thread going so we could share our finds and experiences.  I love our american friends but nothing is more frustrating then hearing about a great find or deal and then finding out that shipping to canada is more than the item OR they dont ship here at all!!!!!

Check out the le chateau outlet stores if you have any near you, they have TONS of dresses on for $50 and under right now and all the colours.  Another option would be to order from victoria secret online!

I am a fellow Majestic bride (colonial though) so we will have to share our planning!!!! 3 months and 2 weeks... yikes time is flying!

Thank you so much torilynnsmith for starting up... "Canadian Brides!!!!!!!!!"

luvmoo: I ordered the same starfish with bow & tags last week for our wedding.  I am so anxious for them to arrive.

camy47:  Struggling to find a dress for my one and only attendant (my beautiful 18 year old daughter).  Unfortunately, this time of year is not a good time to shop for aqua blue.  Le Chateau and the other shops only seems to have the darker colours out for Christmas & New Years Eve parties. The Venus link you shared had a gown that caught my eye and even have a store in my area that carries their line...lets just hope my MOH approves.  wink.gif

capecodder.... smile03.gif for the welcome greeting!  Hope to get to know you ladies better in the next few months.

Hi Norma.

Congratulations on your wedding and welcome to our thread! I told a friend today, I will have to find another hobby or web site to look at once my wedding is over.

It feels like forever I have been on here and have gotten to know some great bride to bes.

I saw that you are looking for an aqua dress for your daughter. Did you check out the link I gave luvmoo? If not, check it out. Really nice dress...one of my wedding colours but we had bought our red dresses already from Sears. I may get it for myself though.

Happy Planning!

Anyways, let me know what you think!

Torilynn and other brides who may be looking for real touch flowers,

I put in my order with Bloom Bridals that is in Toronto. I know a lot of brides have tried getting shipment dates from other vendors like Angel's Accents and they are completely booked until next March!

My shipment date from Toronto is Dec. 10th with 3-4 business days for delivery. I will post a photo once I get my proof. Judy has been great to deal with, responds quickly to emails and her work looks great! Just thought I would share.

Hi Ladies...you all have been busy the few days i have been offline! :) Thats a good thing...i like coming back to lots of BDW fun!

Thats really awful about those dresses! I truly do beleive everything happens for a reason and even though it may be horribly upsetting now and be a disaster, your new dresses will be 100 times better and you will be thankful the disaster happened in the first place....positive energy your way ;)

4 more sleeps including today and i will be a jet setting bride :) its coming quick...these last few days and the next few days will be complete chaos and hectic but i am smiling ear to ear and i cant put in to words how excited I am. I still have a few loose ends to tie up but i am pretty much ready!!! I really wanted to do a planning journal before i leave but not sure i have the time but i will definitely do an after the fact planning journal and share my journey and pics and ideas with all of you. I'm hooked on BDW and will definitely still visit even when my festivities are over so i can support all you wonderful ladies and live vicariously through you! wedding planning, even though stressful at times, has been so much fun and i couldnt have done it without all of you and your fabulous support and ideas.

i will be back online before i go but in case something goes astray and i cant make it back on i will see you back here in early November a MRS!!!! love.gif

Butterfly67....Welcome to the group!!! I'm sure you will see very quickly why this such an amazing group of ladies!!! :)

If you decide to go with the Venus dress I would recommend calling the store listed in advance. I found that a few of the ones on there don't carry the line any more. I saw you are from Ontario...let me know if you are either in London or the GTA b/c I did comprehensive searches for the best price! haha. I should also mention that the website does not do the dresses justice. The materials they use are gorgeous and all of mine turned out great. The chiffon ones are perfect for a DW!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
