hey cape codder!

I've been playing around with the seahorse and sand dollar/starfish punches.  I made confetti for the tables at my AHR out of some left over cardstock, and I also made some drink flags (a la FutureMrsTGun's, where I got my inspiration).

I am going to use the punches for invites as well, and I am thinking that I could use them to make some lumis, but I havent tested that out yet.  I was thinking a border along the top, so that the light shines through.

Tori,

I scoured the Dollarama near my house, but it was a ZOO in there, and if there were peacock feathers, they are now gone.  I am going to check out some other locations tomorrow after work!  I did pick up some individually wrapped mint life savers and lollipops to include in OOT bags as well as the kleenex packages.

ps. My funny FI informed me today that he HATES seahorses.  I was showing him some ideas I had been tossing around for the invites and decor stuff.  I was surprised... since who hates seahorses?  when I asked him why, he said they are ugly and look like little shrimp.  Boys are weird.  :)

By the way, when you look at the PDF on screen it wont read properly, as its saved in print format for booklet printing. These were printed double sided, folded and then stitched like a little book :) the file on screen is set up as spreads. But at least you will see the info i included :)

I sent these out at the begining of Sept, so just short of 2 months before we leave. I included a packing list and luggage tag....the whole kit was really popular and people loved getting them. I have everything on my camera of the final assembled kits, i just havent had an opportunity to load them yet since i am leaving in a week there are a million things going on :) i will as soon as i can so you ladies can see them :)

Holly - love the idea for the lumis!!  I will be testing that one out for sure.  Boys are definetly strange sometimes. lol!!  I wanted to put some snack items in our OOT bags but FI said no, not really sure why but when he has opinions on things, I'll take it!!  Doesn't happen to often. lol!

Also really like the idea of confetti for the tables.

Wow, thanks Janet! These are great! What program did you use to make them?

I really like the fonts you used! I like the booklet idea as we're sending a pocketfold package as our pre wedding brochure.

Hey Ladies!!!

I am in a bind right now.. and i am hoping to vent and lean on you ladies.. i am a cross between crying and laughing.... and really not sure where to go from here!

Soo! I have a maid of honor and two bridesmaids. Each girl ordered their own dresses ( all the same dress, and same website) and each one of them had several issues with the dress when it came in. #1, all three of them ended up being different colors... so we added different shades of blue to our wedding colors to make it work around the dresses.. which was no problem.. The last bridesmaid just got her dress on Friday.. and it is absolutely hideous!!!!

i have attached pictures below, so you could see the difference in two of the dresses... the first one is okay.. the 2nd one.. just horrendous!!! when we complained to the company.. they told us that they looked just fine and they thought the dress is beautiful.. and that the two dresses below are close enough to eachother and will look good in the wedding..  and they will not refund us nor will they make a new one. they told us they will make a new one for a discounted price of 60.00 USD, plus shipping.  and they told us if we really don't like it, then we can take it to  a tailor to get fixed... At this point.. i am sooo angry.. I don't want to look at these dresses ever again. it is just ruined for me.. and now i find them all ugly.. lol

I am just soo upset! i am 4 months away from my wedding.. and I now have these horrendous dresses that do not match... and the last pic below.. looks NOTHING like online..  I can't make the girls buy a 2nd dress.. so my FI and I are now forced to buy 3 dresses we didn't budget for.. which sucks.. but the other thing is.. now what?! The bridesmaid that got the bottom pictured dress.. is now being very difficult.. and doesn't want to order a dress online.. but i have three bridesmaids that are all different sizes, and one that lives in a different city..

The dresses below, it is hard to see in the 2nd pic, as it was a close up of the embellishment... but the sash on the front is different.. the material is flowy in the front on the first dress.. but just sewn on the front in the 2nd one.. The dress is absolute garbage...

Does anyone have any suggestions on maybe a good REPUTABLE place for good dresses ?  I just really don't even know what to do... ugh.. ANY suggestions would be super helpful ladies!!

*sigh* Thanks for listening ladies.. and DONT order ANYTHING from dressale.com

I love your cake topper it is really cute. Hat, veil and pearls :D

If I would be you I would go online and pick bridesmaids dresses from the store that you all can go and try it on. That way you will know that your girls got perfect dresses. I would not want to get another ugly dress since it is only 4 month away.

And 2 dress does not look anything like a first one. Where did you buy it from? How come they have such a horrible return policy? is it in china?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
