Hi luvmoo, I'm also having a starfish themed wedding. Can you share with me some of the places that you've ordered your starfish from? I'm looking for large brown sugar starfish of about 6-8" for our gazebo and the aisle for the ceremony? I'd also love to hear where you got your edible starfish for the cake!

Ohhh...I didn't even think about that as a possibility! lol!  I was reading that someone else had ordered $110 worth of the bulk bags, but that shipping was over $60!  Then when UPS delivered they charged additional fees of almost $50 so the shipping alone came to the same price and the M&Ms themselves.  I just dont' want to get burnt with UPS again!  I hate all the additional fees!  Might have to get them shipped to a friend in the US.  Just trying to decide whether to order bulk and repackage vs ordered the prepackaged.

How did this gem of a thread slip by by me????  I have alot of reading to catch up on..only made it to page 24...lol

205 days till our big day and I've been going crazy searching the internet for ideas for favors, OOT bag contents, table setting and all thats inbetween.

I was able to get my hands on some very cute natural jute tote bags at Dollarama ($2) for my OOT bags, burlap pouches for my "Wedding Week Survival Kits", as well as some mini heart palm fans & beach starfish favors for table decorations.  Thank you all for your input...I look forward to returning to this thread again & again!!!

Wow, that never happened to me with UPS, but that's is brutal. I am going to look into that and if that's the case I will go with something else. Not sure if some candies will be worth 200+.

Welcome Butterfly67!!! This site and fellow brides have been great!

I agree with kat2012, not sure if candies would be worth that much.  Can't believe how expensive they are!

Is anyone else doing luggage tags?  If so, are you making them yourselves or going the Vistaprint route?

@Kat2012 - Love, love your cake topper!!

I'm doing luggage tags. I ordered two different business cards from Vista - front and back. I will just glue them together. I bought badge holders from ebay, not luggage pouches because they need to be laminiated, and I don't know what information people want on their tags and with the badge holders people can write their own. I will be using bright ribbon in our colour to attach them. I;m sending them out with our thanks for booking/information brochure that we will be mailing at the end of this month!

Hi Manda,

How is your planning going? How many days left now? lol...Yikes..I have one day less then you!

In your package you are mailing out this month, what are you including? We are doing something similar, we are sending a pocketfold invitation -informal but want to include some information and luggage tags too. I am having a hard time to try and figure out what to put and the wording. Any thoughts or ideas of what you are including would be appreciated. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
