Hey there, sounds like you got a pretty good deal! how big are the starfish at Michaels?

Ladies - want your opinion on this hairpiece, It's a first try, wanted to see if I could do it myself so this is not the one I would actually use but something similar. Let me know your thoughts!!

Great deal! Paid 20$ for 18 starfish instead of 50$!

I found a great find yesterday at a Great Canadian Dollar store in St.Albert, just outside Edmonton. They have small red and blue starfish...look like gems or confetti...more for gluing on things. But I bought all the red ones and I will use them in my table centerpieces with my shells and sand. But I also plan on using them as decorative confetti on our dinner table for the reception! I think the name of the company that makes them is Twisted 4 crafts, don't have them on me but I will post a photo tomorrow so you can maybe try and find them in a store near you.

The cool thing is the woman at the store told me that I could call the owner of the store and try to order more in! I asked if they had more colors available but she didn't know. But they had red and light blue ones.  Great option instead of ordering real mini colored starfish!

I found my rehearsal dinner dress at Winners today...$34.99...can't beat that!  I've never bought a maxi dress before and I love it : )

Finished the FI's TTD outfit today with the purchase of a Tommy Bahama shirt from the Bay (on clearance for $40)...shown here with the linen pants from Old Navy (which were around $12 after discounts).

These flower girl baskets may get axed in favour of these sinamay baskets, if I can get them large enough to hold their rose petals:

Our programs and sandlewood fans are going on each seat for the ceremony in a sinamay envelope like this:

My bouquet handle will be wrapped in ribbon first, then a sinamay overlay, with this charm from Etsy seller palomasnest (I am CRAZY about their stuff!):

No, sorry...it was in the spring of this year that I found them.  But what size do you need?  I have a girls 14 that I'm about to return...I bought a 14 and a 16 for my niece from Manitoba and she ended up needing the 16.  It probably wouldn't hurt to look at the Bay...sometimes things can hang around there for a long time...and if you found them at this point, they should be super cheap.  The brand name is penelope mack.

So here's my dilemma with this flower girl dress...you've seen the floral pattern, and you've seen what my FI's daughter is wearing...I'm having trouble deciding on a bouquet.  I would love something really bright, but I pretty much have to stick to greens and pinks at this point.  I guess I'm feeling kinda stuck trying to be complimentary to the pattern in the flower girl dress.  Thoughts on these?

Here is my dress...and you've seen the bouquet handle wrap...my biggest question is, ONLY pink flowers, or should I ask for some white flowers in the bouquet as well?

I think it looks great! I would add another feather to the bottom were it seems a bit open. Great job I can't wait to see the final one!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
