This dress is so gorgeous!!!! That would look so good and you would be nice and cool in it! The lady that did the dresses was from Ottawa so I don't think that is much help to you. You could always try to order it and if you don't like it or if something is wrong you have plenty of time to send it back and get another one or potentially still get it made.

Ok, so I've started a thread called Coupon, Discount Codes, Etc. for Canadian Brides!...but I have no idea how to link it to any existing forum we currently have going.  Can you guys see it/find it?  I hope I did it the right way...

Haha Tori you have sent me one link but its sooo funny I think I have copied so many of your ideas my mom is like did that other girl on the site do this first.  Oh and so far your invites and your OOT bags are amazing! I can't wait to see what else you do so I can get more ideas.  Oh and another thought since you are so creative you could totally sell a whole little template package on esty or something.... I'm sure there are lots of other brides that lack in the creativity side such as myself.

Thank you CanadianLindsey!  I'll just need to keep my receipts in order and hope for the best.  I'll see what my TA has to say as well.

For now it sounds like I'll be buying a luggage scale for extra decor distribution ;-)

Good news is they only checked a few of our guests bags and they didn't have a problem with any of our decor items or anything at all really(I had split things among my family members for the luggage weight issue).  I think they are looking for people bringing in big quantities of items to resell in Mexico illegally so wedding groups aren't really their targets! Hope this helps you :)

Canuck, ha! I didn't even realize you were replying to my comment. I must really be home sick because I just realized that typed that I've been here for three months when its only been three weeks.  This is going to be a long year.

I'm going home a few times over the next year and plan to do shopping then as I can see that things are extremely expensive here.

Thanks for the welcome note.

Hey ladies I was wondering what your thoughts are and what you are doing for your OOT bags, I have a few guest who are just friends sharing a room for the week; would you give them an oot bag to share or would you count them as a single? To cut cost I am giving one bag per couple but not to sure what to do? I am leaning towards individual bags for them but would like to know what everyone else is doing/thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
