Hello Ladies!

I am booked for Nov. 12, 2011 at Cancun Palace.  We are doing the complimentary wedding, planning on having about 25 guests.  We booked our reception on their Infinity Terrace.  Anyone else got married or getting married here?

Currently working on favors, welcome bags for guests, making our own decor to bring, hiring outside dj..

Anyone have any advice/tips/photos?

Thanks!

Giselle

Hello Giselle,

I'm getting married at Beach Palace November 5th 2011. We are also doing a complimentary package and adding things, with about 25 guests. Some advice I have for you is just to make sure that you get it written into your contract that you may use outside vendors and ONLY pay for a day pass for each vendor and not pay any ADDITIONAL fees for using the outside vendors. I know a lot of brides get charged an extra $250 for using an outside DJ. I believe Palace Resorts calls is a displacement fee. I had it written into the contract so that I am only paying the day passes which are $88/ person. Also just make sure that if you have any guests who are staying at other resorts that you make sure you can get enough guest passes for them. The Palace Resorts only allow 20% of you guests to have day passes and that includes the outside vendors. Let me know if there are any questions that I may be able to answer for you. Good luck with everything!

Congratulations Giselle and welcome to the forums! I was just checking my archives for my Cancun Palace resort pictures and for the life of me can't find where I posted them online? Why the face... I KNOW! haha

Im on vacation right now, but will try and get something posted online for this resort as I know I've been there.

Best of luck with all your plans.

Hi! I'm getting married there on April 28, 2012.  I decided to hire an outside DJ and photographer. Even though your wedding is before mine, I can share any information if you would like. Also, in the resort reviews section there are brides that posed on the Cancun Palace and have been great help to me thus far.

Let me know if I can provide any assistance.

 Hi Essential,

I have a personal question for you.  Why did you decide to get married at the Beach Palace over, Moon or Cancun? I visited the Beach palace two years ago and I thought it was beautiful but I was staying at the Sun Palace. I adored the Sun Palace, but since I want my kids to come I'm thinking of staying at the Beach Palace but having the ceremony at Moon since they have the Horse and Carriage. I am totally torn now with the ambiance of Dreams Cancun so I really need to make my mind up if I am to plan a wedding for April 2012.

I am trying to locate the infinity Terrance that Gisselle spoke of online but no luck. I love the beach scenary but have no desire to get married on the beach. A nice Gaezbo is more my style lol.

Any help or advise or pictures!!!! ANYONE...LOL

Hi! I'm actually getting married at the Cancun Palace, but did consider BP & MP. We chose Cancun Palace because it was smaller than Moon (for less mobile guests) while still having the resort feel; we felt that the Beach palace was so small it may feel like a hotel instead. I have a PDF of the locations mentioned, PM me your email address and I will send it to you. I agree with you on the gazebo, I would much rather get married in the shade, but I left the final decision to my FI.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
