2012 Brides in Playa Del Carmen or Tulum

Recommended Posts

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! Personally... I prefer the Playa del Carmen area just because it is a great little town that have something for everybody! Guests can always head into town for some shopping, entertainment, beach of just drinks. You really don't have to worry about them being entertained. As mentioned above... Tulum is much more tranquil and very relaxing. It all depends on what your looking for but I think being closer to Playa will make for a better week for everybody.

Best of luck with all your plans and feel free to email me directly if you have any questions.

Hi-

Thank you for posting this.  I am a new member and have also been trying to decide between Le Reve and Tulum.  I spent a few days in Tulum a few years ago and loved it's beauty and peacefulness.  I only passed through Playa, but it definitely seemed to have more going on.  I enjoy the quietude of Tulum. Marisa1, Do you think Le Reve is removed enough to feel private?  Will passersby be gawking at our wedding or is it more private?  I've tried to contact Le Reve through email 3 times and have yet to hear back.  I guess I can just chalk this up to being on Mexico time...any thoughts?

Thanks so much!  And best wishes on your days!

Hi Gals

I just got married at the Dreams Tulum on November 21 this year.  If you're considering this property, have you checked out the "New Dreams Tulum" thread?  There's lots of info on there.  You can also ask me if you have any specific questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
