Peach!

That all sounds like a great idea! I'm sure the bubba kegs will be a hit... it's going to look cute too!

Yes! Michaels is the best... I plan to stop by this weekend hopefully I luck out : )

As far as the resort I have on mind - I still have several months to go before they confirm 2013...

Barcelo Bavaro Palace - I'm praying it's worth the wait!

Thanks!  I think how soon you can book also depends on your TA.  We had a local TA at first who told us we couldn't book with Iberostar until Jan of 2012, but than we switched TAs and the new one booked us within one week!

Hey ladies... I'm planning mine for May 201t too and have narrowed it down to three: Gran Bahia Principe La Romana, Barcelo Punta Cana and Now Larimar Punta Cana.  My TA recommended these and is getting quotes etc, which is what I'll be basing my decision on. Is it a bad idea to not visit first??

I am hoping to have guests from far (South Africa) so want to make it as cost efficient as possible for them. I'm in Vancouver.

Nice to "meet" you all :)

Congrats to all -

I'm also a 2013 bride, I'm thinking May or June but have not decided. In the last 3 years I have planned 4 weddings so I am in love with the idea of finally planning my own. So as soon as he popped the question (after the tears) I could not wait to start my wedding.. Anyway congrats to all and happy planning!!!

congratulations to all the future Mrs! I'm a 2013 bride as well. We've decided on Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay. Our date is booked and I'm elated.I want it to be affordable for my guests, so I've been doing a lot of research. Has anyone noticed that the official hotel's website usually charges a lot less than sites like Expedia?

Really? I certainly did not notice that...

Does that include taxes? I find that is what makes such a difference.

Hopefully that is not too late as I see some of you have your date already booked!! A year and 7 months away and I am already feeling behind!! lol Right now I'm in the gathering as much information as possible phase..so hopefully soon we can narrow down the front runners...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
