Groomsmen and Groom Attire - Match or Not?

Recommended Posts

I thought we were doing good on attire... but now I'm worried it's not going to come together!

We bought our GM tan linen pants at Banana Republic one sale (they are awesome - originally $70 on sale for $30!!!).  They are perfect and I think the guys will wear them again.

We ordered my Fiance's suit from J Crew online and it hasn't come in yet.  We tried it on a while ago in the store, but waited to long and now they only have it online.  He loves it and is set on it now (of course, fingers crossed he still loves it when it comes in).

Will it matter if the Groom's suit is a slightly different color khaki than the GM pants?

My original plan was to have the GM's just wear whatever white shirt they want (I'm not a picky person, my BMs are wearing the same dress but different styles)... but is that going to look okay?

I need a dress rehearsal! LOL

I think it will be fine. My FI is only having his one brother and they're both wearing the same suit, shirt and tie. To make them look a little different I bought a pocketsquare for my FI and they will have different color bouts. If we had more groomsmen I would have gone a totally different route but with only one Ithought it would look funny. I think as long as all the groomsmen look alike than it will be fine.

My FI is only having his best friend as his best man and no groomsman.  They will be wearing the same things, but will have a different boutineer.  I think if they are a little different color it wont matter.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
