Hi Brides!!!  I am a new member to this forum. I recently got engaged July 6th on the beach. I am seekiing input from anyone who has been to the Azul Fives or Gran Caribe Resorts. They seems very different from one another but we are having a hard time deciding. We will have 4 children under the age of 10 and 20 guests. Initially we wanted something intimate and personal but quickly realized we need to cater to the kids as well.  Has anyone been to either resort? We plan to marry the first week of May.

 

Any help/experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and congrats to you all :)

Hi!

We have stayed 4 times at two Karisma Resorts ~ El Dorado Royal & Casitas and El Dorado Maroma.

We loved these resorts! My FI proposed to me on the beach at Maroma and we are planning our DW at EDR. These are beautiful resorts with excellent service, food, etc. That being said, we did a site visit at Azul Fives and Azul Sensatorie. Both were beautiful resorts that do allow  and cater to children. Both being a Karisma Resort, we would not hesitate to stay at either one. woot2.gif

My fiancé and I stayed at the El Dorado Royale and The Royal in Playa over memorial day weekend. I really liked both places for different reasons but when it came down to choosing a place for my wedding I chose The Royal. We met both wedding coordinators and can tell you that the ones at The Royal won hands down. In just the short time we were communicating with someone at EDR we had 2 people leave or get fired. That really worried me. The Royal is beautiful and they are right next door to their sister resort Gran Porto Real which allows kids. Hope this helps! Andrea

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
