what are you getting your fiance for a wedding gift?

Recommended Posts

My FI is the hardest person to buy for because anything he wants he buys and anything I ever think of to get him he would never use, like a watch.  I think I might just get his ring engraved with a special saying!

This is what I am giving to my FI the day of the wedding...I stumbled upon it while shopping in the states at a TJ Maxx...an incredible deal for around $120 if I remember correctly.  It's a Tommy Bahama watch that has an area on the back that I will engrave.  It will be perfect for our wedding in Mexico...has a tropical-y vibe...and will go nicely with his TB white linen shirt and sand-coloured linen pants.

My fi has so many watches and recently got a rolex so I can't really top that.  So, I'm going to get him a pair of white gold black diamond stud earrings.  I wanted to get him regular diamond studs but with wedding planning and all, I won't be able to afford it so the black diamonds are the least expensive option.

My FI is the same way.  I feel like I can never get him something because he buys it as soon as he wants it and the stuff he wants is usually quite expensive.  And, he's loves to buy electronics and takes the time to research and read reviews.  I don't pay much attention to what's hot in electronics.

Ooh I love this idea, but too bad my FI manages to lose his collar stays all the time.  I have to buy him the metal collar stays every year.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
