what are you getting your fiance for a wedding gift?

Recommended Posts

I have NO idea what to get my FI.  He is a mans man, and loves to work on things around the house and toy around with his 4wheeler and snowmobiles... He doesnt want a watch as he can not wear it at work, and he wouldn't want the typical cuff links etc... I got him a wallet for xmas, im having SUCH a hard time!

FI is in desperate need of a new watch, was looking into a Rolex for him however, I want to get him something that is true to him and not something that he just needs.  I may toss around the idea of getting him a different brand, perhaps a TAG, then get him a new "toy" if you will.  He is very passionate about fishing and making his own rods, perhaps a new reel for one of them with the wooden storage box engraved with our date.  Maybe for our 10yr anniversary we'll upgrade to a Rolex then...

That is so sweet and perfect!  I just love it.  I'm sure he'll love it, because its the perfect thing to have engraved on a wedding ring!!!

The first time he told me, it was before we went to bed one night and we had had a few drinks ;) so I told him to tell me again in the morning if he meant it haha...so next morning comes and first thing out of his mouth was 'I love you more today.' SOOO though it's a bit cheesy, I thought it was fitting to have 'I love you more today' engraved! I might even get our date engraved as well, so he never has an excuse to forget our anniversary!

Laptop sounds like a great idea! Practical, yet a nice splurge! Good luck w/whatever you decide...you definitely still have time!

Thank you! He's so NOT the romantic type usually, so it's especially meaningful to me :) Happy planning!

I like the idea of a watch for him and getting something engraved on the back, but I dont want to get just any old watch. He has a couple that he wears to work everyday but nothing like a dressy/fancy type for special occasions. I also want it to be expensive but I don't want to pay a lot for it, lol. I love me a good deal

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
