Where to get married in Jamaica?

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I'm new to this website and just beginning to plan our destination wedding in Jamaica!  There are so many beautiful looking resorts, I have no idea which one to choose!  Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?  My fiance and I are working with a TA to get some suggestions, but I would also love to know what the brides from here have to say.  We want an all-inclusive place that allows children since we have a few of them attending the wedding, but that isn't overly kid-oriented. :)  I've been reading through some of the threads, and there is so much great information on here!  I'm so glad I found the site and can't wait to pick a place and start the rest of my planning and wedding projects! :)

Thanks for any advice!

We chose Beaches Resort in Negril Jamaica! We also wanted to have children in attendance at our wedding because they play a huge role in our lives and we couldn't leave them out. We found Beaches to have just the right amount of kid friendly and adult fun!! Good luck choosing!!

welcome to the site!

i chose iberostar rosehall beach hotel because at the iberostar resort in montego bay, there are three hotels within one resort compound and they hold only one wedding ceremony/day..plus the resort is a 20 minute drive from the airport so our guests can get their vacay started almost 'immediately' after deplaning.  cheesy.gif

my fiance and i decided on iberostar rosehall beach because its the most cost efficient of the three hotels within the iberostar resort compound AND its kid-friendly (although none of our guests will be bringing kids).

you will find that iberostar will be a bit higher priced than other resorts in jamaica, but it is by far, the most beautiful and the service is top notch.  my fiance and i have visited jamaica every year together for the past four years and so we're very familiar with the island and its resort offerings.  we've stayed at sandals montego bay, breezes runaway bay and i even stayed at sunset jamaica grande with some girlfriends a few years ago and all pale in comparison to iberostar.

good luck with finding the perfect spot for your big day.

until next time, take care and happy planning!!

I am planning my wedding in Jamaica next July.  I am a little overwhelmed about the whole process myself.  Just getting started and trying to figure out which resort to choose.   I do like the Iberostar, so I have my DW consultant looking into some prices.  The resort looks very nice.

Thanks for the information.

Brunning 17,

I would suggest Hilton Rosehall Resort and Spa in the Montego Bay area.  It has a beautiful property with a waterpark, waterslides and is family friendly. It is also all-inclusive. I was there Sept 2010 for a site visit and fell in love with the property. They have a variety of locations to host your wedding and reception. I can't wait to say "I day" June 2012 at Rosehall Resort and Spa.

Hi,

You have Iberostar, RIU Resorts (Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Negril) Beaches, Grand Pallidium are all good choices. If you are on a serious budget there is also Holiday Inn, the rooms aren't great but the food is good and its easy on the pocket and they have a nice beach gazebo which I have used for weddings before.

Happy planning and all the best.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
