I want to keep the wording on my STDs really casual, kind of like I would write on a post card. But, I find stuff like this really hard to commit to. I overthink it & want it to sound just right. So I'd love to get opinions.

Here is the wording:

We are getting married in Riviera Maya, Mexico on June 21, 2008! If you would like to join us in Mexico, we would love to celebrate our wedding day with you. We will also have celebrations in Texas and North Carolina after the wedding. All the details are available on our website.

Best Wishes,

Mike & Morgan

This is what the front of our STD looks like (thanks to Sarah), but it also has the website url on the bottom.

Yes, it's on the front in a cute swirly font. I cropped it off b/c my FI asked me not to post it online. Kind of hard for me to do because I want to share it with everyone.

Yeah if it wasn't on there that would be a big mistake. It would be a backhanded way to elope I guess. Or maybe just select for the guest who really want to be there.

OK, I ordered them today from Vista Print. I got 100 postcards with 2 image uploads for $12 shipped. I will probably need to order more, but I'm going to wait until these come in. Can you get another cheap deal on ordering the same postcards again? Once the images are uploaded it seems like you can use them again for other projects.

I got my text on the back a little too close to the top. It isn't cropped off, but it's right against the top. I didn't think it was worth another $4.99 to redo it though. I hope it looks fine.

There checkout is a little annoying. It's constantly giving you other offers of things to buy. Then at the end a timer showed up & they gave me 10 minutes to decide if I wanted 150 more postcards for $18. Kind of funny to see all their sales tactics.

I can't wait to see my save the dates in person!!!!

They are in!! It only took 10 days. I think they are so cute, especially when there is 100 of them. I've spread them out on the floor just to look at them all together.

the back is a little funny because I thought I had to leave room for a barcode. It was on the template. So I put the text up too high. Oh well, I still love them. DIY wedding projects are the best! The grand total shipped was only $12.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
