I made the mistaken of getting a bit too attached to Dreams Tulum before finding out they do not do same-sex ceremonies.  They suggested Secrets Capri in Cancun, so you might check that out.

For me, it's unlikely, because I can't get past the idea of Cancun being a place full of drunken spring break kids.  Surely, it's not that way the rest of the year, but that is where my brain goes when I hear the word Cancun, and it bothers me to think of guests feeling the same way when they receive their invitations.  (I suppose those getting married in Vegas face the same issue.)  Silly, maybe, but I'm not sure I can get past it.

Still searching for the perfect place.

Hello ladies,

As a LGBT Friendly, I have to say there are tons of all inclusive resorts and other non resorts locations in the Riviera Maya that welcomes every couple. Playa Del Carmen has become one of the best Gay Weddings Destinations in mexico Feel free to PM me, with any questions you may have and I will be happy to assist you.

I am a person who truly wants to do the right thing, someone who believes in equality, and wants to treat my same-sex couple clients with the respect that all couples deserve.

Hello,

I am writing a thesis for my university of tourism, focusing on same-sex destination weddings in Mexico, with as a target group the US.

Did you get married in Mexico? Or are you planning to get married soon? Are you in the middle of the process? Are you a wedding planner? Anyone that has knowledge about gay marriage in general? I am looking to do skype interviews in order to gain information for my thesis. would you like to help me? I would be very happy if someone could help me by sharing your experiences!

Thank you in advance.

You can contact me by email if you like:

We often have inquiry's and questions about this topic so we just wanted to update the thread.

The 1st one was at Playacar Palace and Adventure Spa Palace, the ceremony was at Adventure Spa because it is the Adult only resort in the Palace chain that would allow the client to have the ceremony. The group stayed at the Playacar Palace because the Adventure does not have a beach but a quick shuttle made it all easy.

Our 2nd was at Now Jade Resort, the Ceremony and reception where at the property in Puerto Morelos. http://www.photosincancun.com/same-sex-commitment-ceremony-in-mexico/

We would be happy to help you in search of a gay friendly hotel, Now Jade and Mayakoba are family friendly and gay friendly as there are many others too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
