Our wedding is in 2 months and 19 days!  Can't believe its getting here so fast!  Destinationweddings.com has been so helpful with getting this planned and booking all who would like to come.  I haven't seen many threads on here that mention Breezes, but I have talked to several ladies who have had their weddings there and they loved it.  I am very excited!

Hi, please let me know how it is!  My fiance and I just went down to the Bahamas last weekend to check out the area.  We are "scheduled" to get marriedat RIU Palace, but it's quite expensive...when you compare it to Breezes.  We are considering Breezes now, so I may be taking a weekend trip to check it out...

Congrats and best wishes!

Cigi

Thanks Cigi!

I actually met a couple of ladies on facebook who had recently had their weddings there.  I was really unsure at first because I saw so many mixed reviews online.  But after talking with these ladies and getting their tips and ideas and seeing their pics the decision was easy.  And not to mention the HUGE price difference from all the other resorts there.  If you'd like I can get you in touch with these ladies, as well, and I know they would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or see their pictures.

Let me know! :)

Thank God!!  I just got engaged on the 4th of July and we decided to have our wedding at Breezes Bahamas on 10-20-2012 I been on plenty websites trying to find others who have wed there...none until I came on here.  Congrats and hopefully I wont bother you with too many questions that I have regarding the resort.  Are you doing welcoming bags for your guest?  Are you having the free wedding or did you purchase one of the other packages?  Do you have a big wedding party?

You won't bother me at all.  I'm sure I have driven these other girls crazy so no worries.  As far as welcome bags-I haven't decided yet.  I know...I am running out of time!  We are having the free package and just adding on photography.  We will only have about 10 people with us and we are just going to make dinner reservations instead of a reception.  I will have my Matron of Honor, and only one bridesmaid, and he his Best man, and one groomsman.  Hopefully Breezes will be in one piece come October 7th!  I am getting really nervous about this weather!

We were thinking of the next package up (799?) we are having a BM, Matron of honor (who are married to each other) and three brdiesmaids and groomsmen we are expecting the same at least 10-20 people to come so we want to keep that weekend as simple as possible so our guest wil have time to enjoy the resort.  I love all-inclusive resorts no out of pocket expenses for food or drinks and your airfare and hotel is covered!

Yes I been watching as well trying to see how this Hurricane Irene is going to play out in the islands as well as the East Coast...Im praying that by the time you go, all is well and you will be able to have a safe and exciting wedding!

As of right now I don't know where we will be having our wedding :(.  The one thing I know for sure is that it won't be at Breezes.  I am praying that all will work out and we will still be getting married on the beach, in the Bahamas, on Oct 7th.  You don't mess with a girl's wedding, you know?

I hear you.  Ok I just found out that the Breezes will close it's door for at least two months due to the hurricane http://www.thenassauguardian.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=12457&Itemid=2

But it looks like other resorts are available during the timr in October.  I do pray and hope everything works out for you.  Are you keeping your wedding date?  A friend of mines had to postpone her wedding in Baltimore last weekend as well due to the hurricane.

It's true, they'll put you up at the Sheraton or Whyndam and you can still have your wedding as planned. One hotel is supposed to open this comming weekend, either Breezes or Sandals - I believe they're the only two that close. All the hotels do their renovations during hurricane season, bad storm or not because it's the only time they are not full.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
