Key West Cruise Bride

I just wanted to say Hi! I've been lurking these forums for a long time before I finally decided on a destination! We have officially booked a cruise for January 2012! We will be getting married in Key West while at the port. I haven't booked the actual ceremony yet, but I've been emailing a wedding planner back and forth! Any other Key West Cruise brides out there?

Hello, I am plannng our ceremony in key west. I have book on the Carnival Valor in April 2012. I have not found a planner or anything in Key West. We have been looking. Any ideas suggestions? We decided not use Carnival for our wedding package because we are in a group and found Carnival to be expensive for a group our size. Congratulations on your wedding and booking a cruise.

Congratulations! How many people will you have attending?

We will not be using Carnival either due to the price. I found it a lot more affordable to use an outside wedding planner. I am almost 100% positive that I will be booking Aaron from www.aaronskeywestweddings.com I've read other fourms that say he is really good. I've been emailing him and he seems like a really nice guy and his prices are good too!

We are getting married November 27, 2011 in Key West.  We are sailing on the Carvial Ecstasy with a stop in Key West.  We are using Key West Weddings To Go for the ceremony at 1pm on Smathers Beach, and then having our reception back on board at 3pm.  Ray at Weddings To Go has been great, and they have great reviews.  Since we have 27 sailing with us, we are renting a trolley to pick us up at the pier and take us to and from the beach.  Congrats to you both!!!

Congratulations! I can't wait to hear all about your wedding when you get back in November! If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to get a trolley? Or what company is the trolley through? I've been trying to price out transportation, to see what will be the best option!

We are going with Historic Tours.  I have priced out Green Leggs for a van that fits up to 14 and they were $350.  The problem is we are at 27 now, and will possibly be at 35 so I would have needed 3 vans; not affordable.  The Old Time Trolley is $13 per person round trip, so right now I am right around $350.  I have attached my contact's information if you are interested.  If you have any more questions, ask away.  I have been researching this for the last two months, so hopefully we have made the right choices :)

Thanks for the info ladies. I dont think I looked into weddings to go yet. I did check out Ezweddings in keywest....but it looks a little cheesy. Since we are traveling for a destination wedding...I want it to look romantic for the ceremony.  I just got a quote from the Hyatt, to see what it would cost outside the Cruise line. Carnival uses Hyatt but the cost is alot more than if you do it on your own. I am curious about the reception back on board. kwbride did you book your reception through Carnival? If so do you mind letting me know what it costs? I have a group of about 25 and we are still working on the reception.  I hope you post reviews after your cruise and wedding...I would love to see how it turns out.  Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
