Congratulations to all the brides (and thier grooms!). I, too, am getting married 'off-site'. I really wanted a church wedding so am getting married at the Mary Gate of Heaven Church in Negril. Our reception will be at Lingah by the Sea Restaurant. The decision regarding where to have the reception was probably the most diffecult of all! I've been to Negril (Couples) but did not spend much time outside of the resort. I used review sites such as Trip Advisor and then contacted some of the posters....fingers are crossed! We are still looking for flowers and transportation so if Charlotte10 and/or anyone else has recommendations I will be sooooo appreciative.

Congrats on your engagement !! We are booked for Dec 06, 2012 at Couples Negril ! Planning has been a blast ! My maid of honor and I are rocking it out with DIY projects and so forth (check out my thread). I just bought my dress 2 weeks ago. It seems so far away but time is flying :D If you are still looking for a photographer check out Stacey Clark. Her stuff is awesome ! We already booked her. Good luck planning ! If you have any DIY projects to share please do !!

Gosh, I wish I had known about him back in December. We had decided not to do professional photographs because we couldn't afford the photographers that  impressed us with their work. We decided against photographers we could afford because we thought our families and friends could do as good a job as the less expensive photographers. At $1250 for unlimited hours and pictures, he is in an entire category by himself. Talent and good prices.

 

At $1250 for unlimited hours and pictures, we would have made our budget work to get him. His work looks amazing. Simple and beautiful.

Anyone interested in a "Custom Made Wedding Website" ... let me know.  I made one for myself and then started to make them for other brides that are having destination weddings. :)   The website could be similar to this http://WWW.DEVONANDTABBY.COM or anyway you like.  I am very flexible and can really create anything you want.     I started this for myself because I HATED the wedding websites that were out on the market and especially the free ones and just made my own...    You can create your own:   Pages Pick your own Music or Play List Have tons of pages Pick from tons of colors, patterns, looks etc... basically WHATEVER YOU ENVISION! :) Endless albums Any design you want on any page Basically ... your wish is my command! YAY! Prices are from $199 - $499 depending on how many changes and pictures etc.... :)   Let me know ...   tsanjideh@gmail.com

Hi Tabby,

 

I did the same exact thing. I started out on the knot and then there were so many restrictions if you didn't want to pay extra so I just ended up creating a google site, which gives unlimited everything for free. I just couldn't imagine doing it again for anyone else; this was definitely a labor of love for me.

Hi everyone, I just found this Thread. I too am getting married at Grande palladium Lady hamilton Jamaica 01/30/2012. Most of all my plans are set except for photography have been looking into a couple outside ventors but thanks for the Merrick Cousley tip I will check him out as well. I have nothing but good things to say about my planning thus far and cant wait...not too far away now!!! We have 47 guests booked and paid for!!! Happy planning!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
