Kukua Beach Club-Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

I got married at the Kukua Beach Club/Restaurant on Jan 3rd, 2012. We are soooo lucky to have found this place. We had to plan in a tight timeline. We were going to stay at an all inclusive resort by did not want to get married on a resort...and we are so happy with that decision. We stayed at the Grand Bahia and saw several weddings take place there and are so happy we didn't get married there. The beaches are soo crowded at the Grand Bahia that you are getting married with people in bathing suits and speedos watching your wedding all around you! The Kukua was able to give the private beach wedding that we dreamed of! The beach and the set up was so beautiful... and they made the table setting absolutely gorgeous. Our friends and family loved the day so much and were so happy they made the long trip to have been there to experience such a special day. Bego, who will coordinate every single last detail, will put her heart into ensuring that all the details are to your satisfactory and is very reliable through email. You can depend on her to always give you her honest opinion of what is best. She connected us with an amazing and affordable photographer and connected us with the musicians we were looking for. The food at the Kukua is wonderful and they have a very nice and affordable wine selection. The service by all of Kukua's staff was wonderful. And even Bego's mother was so wonderful and watched over my baby nephew during our wedding ceremony! Having to plan everything via email and within only a month was obviously very stressful...but because we found the kukua and Bego it was a beautiful day that went off without a hitch! We were also blessed with a beautiful day too!

Hi Guidance! Thanks for the post. I am thinking about moving my wedding ceremony and reception to Kukua after being frustrated with the WC at our resort. Plus, I like the idea of having a more private wedding, since my fiance and I are very private people. Can you give me some more info on the decorations and what is included? I have already purchased things like chair sashes and vases for my flower center pieces. What all did they end up providing for decor or did you do any of it yourself and how much did it cost? I saw it was $500 on their brochure but didn't know what that included. Also, how much did things like flowers and a cake end up costing you? Do they have speakers you can rent? I don't want to do a dj, since it is a small group of us. We just wanted music for our ceremony and first dances. Then we put a play list together for the rest of the time. It looks like I will be doing some last minute planning, since our trip is booked from one month from now. I hope they have my date available!! Thanks!

Hello!  Hubby and I are looking for a place to renew our vows on our 10 year wedding anniversary in September 2013.  So, I've been looking at a bunch of different locations I also just recently came across this place and it looks beautiful!  I really like that the beach weddings are closer to the beach and it is also private.  Before I came across this place I was going to go with the Jellyfish but now I'm just not so sure which one I like better.  Does anyone have any pictures of their wedding set ups that they could share or any recent reviews?

TIA!!!

Hi All! I just booked Kukua for my wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception!!  I originally booked a resort and was not pleased with their customer service.  After looking around and finding the Jellyfish was booked for our date, I was so happy to find Kukua!  Anyone looking for a great location and more personal service than the resorts should look here!!  I feel like a weight has been lifted after waiting days/weeks for a reply from the resort.  Bego is absolutely amazing to work with!!

Hello, I recently just got engaged and I am considering having everything at Kukua. I attended a wedding at jellyfish and it was Gorgous! But I would like to do something different! Then I came across this place. I noticed the price it a bit cheaper however I was wondering how they charge you for cocktail hour, over dinner and then for the dance. I know it's based on what bar you choose. I just want to dance all night long. So when do they end the reception? And are you charged differently over dinner for the alcohol? I know the jellyfish charges you cheaper over dinner then full bar in effect after the meal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
