Kukua Beach Club-Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

Yea, actually the last time I spoke to the WC at NOW she suggested Kukua. It's weird since there's very little written about it here, I just decided on Jellyfish. Well, that and the short walk distance.

Winnie - To get to Kukua you enter through the Bavaro resorts. It's between that and the Magestic - on the map that's section 2. Whereas NOW is in section 4 (or 5) I think. $8 a person for transport is a bit steep when we think of all that is already going in to the night, combined with the fact that

Thanks ladies for answering my questions and assisting with reading the map, lol. I totally understand your concern about paying $8/person for 60 guests. Yikes! We're only going to have about 24, maybe 30 (we have some stragglers, lol). Plus, our resort was so expensive that we're saving a significant amount of money, even with paying for transportation.  Have you looked into hiring a bus directly? A travel agent could help you arrange it and you may get a better deal.

Have you guys decided on menus yet? I've read that they are known for their paellas so I definitley want to include that in my meal. I've requested a copy of their restaurant menu to help with planning.

I just want to say that Bego is the most responsive wedding coordinator in the Caribbean. I really think I'm going to enjoy working with her. She responds to all emails within 24 hours instead of 2 weeks, lol.

Have any of you ladies opted to upgrade and go with natural flowers for your centerpieces instead of silk? If so, how expensive was it? I'm thinking about going for it because I really love flowers. Also, are you guys renting out the entire place?

I know! Isn't she amazing! I think I said I would go with silk flowers for the vases, and real flowers for the tables as well, I havent got the quote back from her yet, because I dont think she has got the quote back from the florist. I will let you know when I get my invoice. And yes we are renting out the whole place! I asked her what time we could have it from and she said whenever we want! So I think we are doing like 3-midnight?  And great idea about asking for the regular menu, did she happen to send it to you? If so could you send it to me?

My son is getting married in Punta Cana on March 3rd 2012, we are booked at the Iberostar Grand but are having a lot of problems with getting final prices and info.  We are 8 weeks away and still don't really know how much it is going to cost.  They are thinking of changing to Kukua Beach Club, Can anyone give me info and pictures?

I just had my wedding there and it was awesome. The prices are listed on kukua beach's website, including menu options. If you want something that's not on the menu, Bego (the coordinator) will go out of her way to get it for you. I'd email Kukua immediately and see if your date is available. Bego is not like the usual resort WCs. She's very responsive and prompt.

Thanks, for telling me that. We will have about 100 people, Can they handle it?  Also, did you have the reception outside? We emailed her already and the date is available.

What music and photographer did you have. Do you have pictures that we can look at?

Hi I recently attended a wedding reception at Kukua Beach Club. The reception was on the veranda and the place was beautiful and the food delicious! The staff appeared to be very accomandating! By the time we arrived at the Club, it was dark, so unable to really see a view of the ocean, but we had cocktails around the pool. I think you can have a beautiful wedding and reception there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
