TIP: Use Google to Search BDW

Hi Ladies,

 

I have often had trouble searching the BDW forums. Even when I click certain search criteria such as ordering the results by ‘relevance’ or ‘recency’. I can tell that I am not alone from viewing previous comments from other BDW posts.

 

So I bring to you a helpful tool: If you use (love) Google search as much as I do, you can use it to pull results specifically from this site alone. How? All you do is type in the Google search box what you are looking for and then you add “site: bestdestinationwedding.com to the end.

 

For example, say I would like to perform a search on all things GOLD that you ladies have posted. I would simply type: gold site:bestdestinationwedding.com

 

Any post that has the word “gold†in it will show up in the results. I usually click IMAGES, to help me find more specific things.

 

Another example of a recent search I did is: message in bottle box site:bestdestinationwedding.com

 

 I then clicked IMAGES. I was able to find a post about the “suitcase mailer box†another BDW Bride had done that I previously forgot to save (subscribe).

I often use google to do the very same thing. I find it much easier to try to weed through all the results I get from searching on this site.
