I am not doing chair sashes, but I talked w/ Ramon and I am having the chairs used at the ceremony be moved after it up to the terrace for dinner for a charge of $2 per chair. Otherwise, if you want them set up at the same time you will be charged for additional chairs ($10 per chair if your doing the nice tiffany chairs). So I would just order the exact number of chairs you will have.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say this thread has been so helpful! I'm getting married 6/5/13 on the beach w/ the cocktail hour and reception on the Tequila Terrace. I visited the resort in August just to scope it out and it's very nice and is going to be a wonderful place to get married. I've hired DJ Doremixx and Photos in Cancun as outside vendors, as this thread has been helpful in letting me know that the resort photographer and DJ are not that great. I'll be using the photographer included in the package during cocktail hour to take pictures of my guests. I visited Ramon while I was there and asked him a ton of questions and he was so helpful and will definately work w/ you to get you whatever you want for your wedding!

i think i am going to have the first chair on each side all the way down the isle with a sash. that way im not brining down a ton of sashes and i still get some colour in the ceremony

Well I have finally decided to jump onto this website as it is so helpful to read everyone's reviews. I am getting married at Sapphire on February 21, 2013 and just when I think I've got everything figured out I see knew ideas and different reviews. I was just going to go with the resort DJ but now see that this isn't a fan favourite. I am bringing in outside hair and make up and photography as those are the things I don't mind spending a little extra on. The part I'm finding the hardest is locating the exact "Tiffany blue" or "pool blue" chair sashes and table runners, etc to bring down with me. So far I've ordered two samples and they have been way off. I have a local wedding planner who is assisting me with everything and she recommends bringing my own sashes and linens if I want the exact colour. My colours are the Tiffany Blue, Grey and White and I keep going back and forth on the idea of adding a splash of coral, fuchsia, or purple to the mix. Time is really starting to fly now! Only 4 months and 4 days!!!

Ok, I know there has to be someone out there who is as OCD as me and has a spreadsheet or their final contract with how much everything cost including all those last minute extras such as fees for hanging items, or renting vases, etc.? I think we need to make a"sticky" with all that kind of info!

You're so lucky to have gone down and visited the site. Most of us are going site unseen. If you have pics I'd LOOOOVE to see them so I can get a better idea. I mean the pics they have on the website are beautiful but they're photoshopped that way! Best of luck to you. Btw what day do you get down there? We get married on 05/31 and our last day there is 06/03. Maybe we'll be there at the same time!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
