Just wondered if anyone has used DJ Movil? We are getting married in January 2015 and trying to decide between the DJ the resort provides or an outside DJ. Any recommendations?

We hired Disco Movil - we're getting married this July. He's been wonderful, very responsive, etc. I like that they have a music database online so you can start sending in your selections waaaay in advance.

I've heard mixed things about the resort dj, just fyi. Also, it's cheaper to pay the vendor fee and the dj then it is to hire the resort's.

Has anyone used the portable printers that you hook up to the camera and print the 4x6 photos right there? I really like the idea of the DIY photo booth guest book (without an actual booth) but I have no idea how to start it! All the threads are super old! I saw the Fujifilm Instax camera and film, however it prints business card size photos...so I am unsure of that. Anyone have any better ideas?

Also I talked to Juan and he said I can do the Italian lights for $400 vs the $850 charge for the Chinese lanterns....has anyone used these are going to use them? We are having the reception at 6 pm at the Preferred Pool so there isn't much lighting there.

100 days left for me and its starting to get real! =0)

We're doing the same flavor. My fiance LOVES tres leches cake.

We're also going with the Tres Leches... read a few reviews and seems to be a winner!  Fingers crossed!!

32 days to go!!!!  AHHHHHHHHH.....

Any last minute advice/reqs from past brides as to things to remember/prepare for, etc.?  Trying to make sure I am not forgetting everything and starting to panic HARD CORE about the details.  LOL.  October is moving FAST!!  :)

We'll be there in two weeks! Anything anyone wants me to check on when I get there? Hopefully I will remember to take lots of pictures of my daughters wedding...I always get caught up in things and don't get enough pictures! Anyone need specific pictures of anything?

Where is your daughters reception? Can you please take some pictures of the Tequilla Terrace? I am very nervous about lighting, wondering if I need to bring some.

Thanks :)

Thanks :)

Her reception is on the Tequila Terrace also! I will be sure to take pictures and let you know! Anything else you want me to take pictures of or check out? I requested and received an estimate on what the final bill would be for 27 adults and 2 children. Let me know if you need prices on anything.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
