Now Sapphire Weddings Formerly Paradisus Riviera

Recommended Posts

The sun glasses were ordered through rushimprint.com The koozies were ordered from discountmugs.com The picture frame is a wood frame that I painted, added some netting and a starfish and then printed out the saying on cardstock paper. The maracas were purchased in Punta Cana on vacation and I just brought them back and reprinted them all. I couldn't find any online for a reasonable price.

Sent my request and payment to the TA last week and she has not been able to get a response from Anel after 4 emails and 3 phone calls! I really just want to know we have the date we want. I can't imagine the date being taken at this point, but you never know! Oh well, I guess I need to learn to be patient, but I'm excited to get started and I feel like we really can't until we know we have the date! My daughter is hoping for a wedding on the beach and cocktail hour and reception on the tequilla terrace. Cross your fingers for us!

It did take awhile for me to hear back from them, but I CCed the info or service email address from the website under contact info (I don't remember what it was) and I heard back quickly - probably bc they don't want those people knowing it takes forever!  Keep in mind though, they are REALLY busy, doing 3 weddings a day.  Don't worry, they will get back to you at some point but go ahead and get a list of questions and requests ready so you don't have to keep emailing and waiting on responses.  Make sure to ask for a budget list - I told him I would not book until I got that!  It helped a lot.  I am bringing all my decor, my fiance said I wouldn't remember that I didn't have paper lanterns and the works so we are doing basic stuff.  Instead of chair sashes, I am bringing wide ribbon; ordered table runners from Amazon, a few bucks cheaper; glass lanterns from bargainbunch.com; making paper garland for the arch...There's a lot you can save on if you can do things yourself and keep in mind you have to pack these things so small & light!!  Good luck

Did you do the complimentary package and then are adding on by buying the private reception, bringing your own ribbon, table sashes, etc? I am not sure which package to do because it seems like the complimentary is so basic that either way it's expensive. What is the budget list you asked for? Can you PM me it or e-mail it to me? Thank you so much!

It has the breathtaking beach and resort for weddings and it is supposedly not too far out into riviera maya- do you know if it is 20 mins from cancun and playa del carmen? THE TA told me it was in the middle of cancun and playa del carmen so a short bus ride in to town if guests want to venture out. Do you know if thats correct? Can you tell me anything about your experience the time you were there and how the wedding went? It looks picture perfect and everything and more I have wanted my wedding to be! congratulations!!!!!

Hi Brittany,

yes it's right in the middle between Cancun and Playa. About 45$ by cab. Just far enough so you don't loose guests out in town, but still close enough to have a visit for a day trip. My bachelorette was in Playa at Coco Bongo, and the Bachelor party was in Cancun.

In my profile I have albums with links to my FB pictures...

Also I am doing the divine package but plan to have more than 25 ppl. Will I have to pay the extra per person for dinner plus the 15 for drinks ? I was hoping to clarify this because 15 per person times 40 ppl for a couple hours is more than the whole original package practically which seems extreme at an all inclusive. Hopefully someone has wondered this too and found an answer

Hi tschooley

This is my bill, let me know if you can't read something.

http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/g/i/185414/2-wedding-bill-wedding-day-timeline-wedding-menu-cards/sort/display_order/

It comes to 105$ per additional person above 25, including additional hors d'oeuvres in cocktail hour, signature drinks, drinks, dinner meal, cake http://www.amresorts.com/wedding_guides/nosrc-wedding-guide.pdf

As per page 10 in their booklet: 53$ for divine dinner + champagne toast 4$ + cake 7$ + cocktail hour 15$ + hors doeuvre 15$ =94$ + tax + service= 104$ per additional person.

I hope that helps.

I finally heard back from Anel. She requested that I re-send my credit card info because there was a problem reading it. I guess that means my daughter's date is open! Excited to get the confirmation! Do they send you packet of info or do you just use the one she sent when I requested information? Thanks for all the help. You all have been so helpful! Thank you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
