Now Sapphire Weddings Formerly Paradisus Riviera

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies!

I finally got off my lazy, happily married butt and wrote my review. Here it is http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/now-sapphire-riviera-cancun/reviews/7361 It is rather long, but I wanted to be thourough. Plus, there are tons of photos!

Don't forget, I am heading back to Now Sapphire next Thursday to celebrate my 1-year anniversary, so if you guys want any specific photos or anything else, just ask!

Happy Planning!

Thank you so much leigh3124! My only question is about the flowers. Did Anel or Ramon mention anything about not being okay with the loop hole you found of just going outside the gates to bring in the flowers yourself? I wouldn't want to piss off the people setting up the rest of my wedding day :)

Ramon didn't say a thing! I did use them for the flowers for my cake and chuppah so they did get a little extra money out of me for flowers. Ramon understood that I was watching my budget closely. I just let him know the rest of the flowers were taken care of. It would be no different if I had gone to a flower shop down there, purchased flowers, and arranged them in my room. They just won't let outside people on the resort with out a fee.

You were a lovely bride and the wedding looked beautiful!

Where did you get the flowers for over the ceremony arch? Were they from the outside florist, as if so , who put them up? Or were they from the resort? Any idea of price?

My daughter is getting married there on January 10, 2014. Your detailed review was so very helpful, as we have not visited the resort.

Thank you!

Hi Now Sapphire Brides!!

Our Dates are booked in Feb 2014 at the Now Sapphire and I am just waiting for the conformation back on my actual wedding date. Im looking at having the ceremony on the beach at 3:00PM and was hoping for the Tequila Terrace for the reception but was informed that the Beach Terrace is only available for my requested date.

Do any other past brides have pictures of their set up or do any of you future brides have the Beach Terrace booked for the reception? What are your thoughts, is it as nice as the Tequila Terrace? Is it more private? I see by past posts that the Tequila Terrace seems to be more popular!

Just looking for some input, ideas and a bit of reassurance!! Thanks :)

I wanted to know if any bride of color has had their makeup down at Now Sapphire. It's funny because this is my only worry with my April 2014 wedding. I have fair skin, makeup artist never know how to pick the right foundation and was wondering if I should bring my own makeup artis.t I'm a wedding planner so I will be doing my own setup the morning of my wedding (yes I'm anal & controlling:) )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
