I'm not sure who their DJ is, so I can't help out there.

Thank you! Anel got back to me and told me that I can't transfer the spa credit and there's no room for the groom (I knew that but I'll still ask when I get there anyway.. worth a shot!)

Also for anyone that is wondering the in house DJ is AVI SPL - they're more of a lighting company from what I can tell from researching them. Another bride that booked them told me they don't have a lot of personality to keep everyone hyped up. Something I'm pretty adamant about wanting.

Does anyone know if we can use the guitarist during dinner instead of the ceremony?

    Hey Ladies,

I'm a newbie to the thread, I just sent off my wedding date request today for June 2014. I am hoping to hear soon from Anel and my TA we can start getting our group bookings. I was curious how people picked their own room. We were thinking ocean front, any preferences?

    Thanks!

Hey Ladies! I haven't been on here in awhile! Life got busy! Anyway my hubby just went to our travel agent and booked our one year anniversary trip! We leave for Mexico 2 weeks from tomorrow. I'm so excited! I can't believe it has already been one year and that I am going back! We'll be at Now Sapphire June 20-27. If anyone needs anything while I'm there, let me know!

I am very excited for you!  It must be a testament to how great the resort is that you are returning for your anniversary.  There is a lot of selection in the Riviera Maya so it must have been fantastic!

I hope you have a great trip! :)

I would reach out to the spa directiy via email. I was told the same thing about trade outs from Anel but the spa is working with me

I was told we could use the guitarist for the cocktail hour instead of the ceremony but they only play for 45 minutes.  45 minutes wouldn't cover your dinner.

              Thanks!

we chose beach front which from what I am told is the same as ocean front but on the ground level so you can walk right out to the beach

Has anyone taken advantage of the free round of golf per person per day that the resort is offering?  my FI and I are wondering how this works, what fees are associated, and what is included when you arrive at the course.  any insight is appreciated; we would love to pass on the specifics to our guests beforehand.  thanks!!

                  Hi TaraB,

I inquired the same and was referred to their golf link : http://www.nowresort.../2011/golf.html

So the free round of golf must be played outside the premium tee-time to be free. Check the dates in the T&C, it goes by season. All players must pay for a shared cart. 40-50 $ depending on the season. So every game outside of tee-time is at least 40$, let alone if players want to play in premium tee-time at a cost of 35$, it would be 75$ at least, depending on the season. So not so free free ;) Check with your airlines if their is a fee to bring golf bags. We flew with Westjet, and a golf bag would be a second baggage and has a second-baggage fee of 20-23$ on the way there, and on the way back. The golf website says rental is 55$. So if players will play at least 2 games it may be worth bringing their own clubs. We had lots of golf players in our party and none played !! I guess they might have wanted to spend their money on more unique things to do like Mayan ruins.

                  Cheers,

                  Mylene
