I've booked Marvin from Maya Floral. So far everything seems great! Flowers are kind of important to me and 1) the prices that the resort is charging are absurd for what you get 2) there isn't a very large selection 3) I don't like that you aren't actually communicating with the florist, but rather Anel (whose communication lines can be a bit frustrating) who is then telling the florist what you want - I just think there is a lot of room of misinterpretation.

Marvin is VERY willing to work with what you want, and if you don't see something that you like just tell him what you are looking for and he'll make samples and send you pictures. This is the bouquet that I am getting (with a white ribbon) and these are the centerpieces, but there will be a touch of blue instead of green. I am still waiting on the bridesmaid bouquet sample.

Those are beautiful! I take it he is pretty reasonable? Does he get back to you pretty quickly?

Has anyone had the photo package included in the Divine Package?  Were you happy?

What outside photographers are you ladies using?  How long are they with you?  What is the price range?

I just had them send me stuff. You know they actually aren't too bad!! In fact they are even pretty good. I asked if we couldl send them my thoughts on certain shots and they say "totally". We don't have a bunch of money to be just throwing into DJ's and photographers so I'm learning to be happy with what I have. If you are interested in seeing the links they sent me PM your email and I'll send them your way.

Hi Mya062813,

I used the resort photographer included in the package and I was very pleased!  I did upgrade the amount of photos after I saw them all because I could not decide....I really loved them.

I personally did not want to spend extra money on vendor fees and the cost of an outside photographer.

Hi, I am getting married on July 5th, so we arent too far off from each other.  I used this site to get many recommendations.  I was sadly surprised to see that my Divine Package didnt include a lot of things I wanted.  The set ups are all basic with only white linens and such.  A good rule of thumb, anything you want in color will cost you.  Also, the photography package they offer is only 1 hour!  I am using that for my rehearsal dinner and hiring an outside photographer.  We also went with an outside DJ like many others.  I suggest you buy a calling card and call Anel in Mexico and go over everything with her on the phone.  That is how I got most of my answers!!  GOOD LUCK!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
