@ Tammy - thanks for the info, that's helping me better understand!

@ Modern - is that what that deck area is called then - "Tequila terrace"? I really like it and with how open it is I think especially if its a beautiful night that would make one rememorable evening for our guest as well as us!

That;s comforting Im at least in the ballpark round figure..I was seriously wondering if my TA was just blowing smoke about "negotiating" or if anyone could get the prices he could get.

If you dont mind me asking, what as the total amounted to for your entire wedding i.e. trip/stay/ceremony/reception.

How many guest do you have attending and what type of "package" did you choose. I have a bad feeling this may end up costing us quite a bit since we're having so many people commited to traveling with us.

We chose the Divine Package which includes the wedding cake, cocktail hour, reception dinner for up to 25 people.  We have 28 people going so it will be around I believe $105 each person over 25 that we have to pay which isn't too bad for us... However if you are having a lot more than 50 people go then the prices could add up really fast.

The nice part is that we will basically be paying nothing for our room as it will be one of the free rooms.  Our airfare ended up being $810 for the both of us.

Yes I love the tequila terrace location seems the most private to me and more intimate . A little concerned with the wooden decking with heels but it didnt make or break my decision choosing this location I have about 32 total including us going I limited who I sent invites to because it does get costly for each additional person after 25 I haven't really sat down and go over the exact amounts but around $100 dollars a person over 25 guests so about 700-800$ for more people My room is free for the week cuz of the incentives on how many rooms booked ect.. Airfare from az is max 1200$ plus baggage fees. We got that free cuz we are using our credit card miles :) Everyone that is coming is from ny roughly 500-575 round trip airfare free bags with jet blue The package I chosen was the divine 3000$ Plus 800 for added guests Plus I upgraded video. And photography which is another 2000 Flowers upgraded centerpieces 1000 Plus another 500 extra flowers for aisle ect Gazebo 350-600 Dj doremixx for 5 hrs 800 plus 300 resort fee tips fo wait staff and coordinator I wanna high ball it and say $ 12000 and our airfare and stay for week is free That number doesn't include all the nit nacks I'm bringing with me like place cards petal cones welcome bags ect...

Hey Moderncosmo1~

I'm from AZ too (well, I live here now ~ not FROM here ~ anyway) my fiance and I are planning on booking our wedding at Now Sapphire too! We are planning for 4/13.

Who did you use for a travel agent that you were able to get your room for free?? We are still trying to decided whether we should use a TA or just book through Travelocity.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
