I would love to get some more feedback on the beach terrace and how that was with the rest of the resort guests mingling nearby. We had wanted the Tequila Terrace for our ceremony and it isnt available. We heard it wasnt very private and hardly anyone is talking about the beach terrace or sharing pictures of it

Congratulations on your recent marriage.  Love to see pics of your beach terrace wedding.  I've hardly seen any weddings done there vs. the Tequila Terrace.  Were there a lot of outsiders looking in?

Hi CAmomofbride,

Yes, my first choice was also Tequilla, but it was not available anymore. Beach Terrace turned out to be excellent. The ceremony was at 2:30 on the beach. Yes maybe there was onlookers, 8 at the most, and some passer-by. I was so happy and in my bubble that I didn't care if anyone was looking. And really, they are just happy with you. By the time we move to the beach terrace for the cocktail hour around 3:30, they had blocked off the area with lounge chairs, and a private bar. That was for the cocktail hour. Most people minded their own business, looking for a few seconds. Also, I was away during the cocktail hour on photo duty, so no big dresses to look at during the cocktail hour. And being at this time, people were naturally leaving the pool area becoming shaded to do other things. I'm sure if it was 12 midday, more people would be looking... And during dinner, well, every other resort guests are busy drinking and eating, so it was private enough. I'm so glad to had it done on the beach terrace, it was casual looking because of the couple huts providing shade, and a mexican style, without being tacky. The elegance was in the table set up and linens. To me, the Tequila Terrace, after I located it, was a bit far, and extremely private, it looks very elegant, a bit too much to MY liking. I chose NS because of its relaxed and more mexican style look, and the beach terrace was exactly that.

At this stage, my pictures on my camera, taken by my brother, are unsorted, and not online yet...lack of time. I only just sent my TY cards ! I hope this input helps. On my profile, there are more generic pictures of the beach terrace...

Where did you get the flowers for over the ceremony arch? Were they from the outside florist, as if so , who put them up? Or were they from the resort? Any idea of price?

My daughter is getting married there on January 10, 2014. Your detailed review was so very helpful, as we have not visited the resort.

Thank you!

Aww! Thank you!

The flowers on the arch were from the resort's florist. They were about $125 (if I am remembering correctly) and we felt worth every penny. Since we orderd them from the resort, Ramon and his staff hung them for us.

Thank you so much for your reply! Your wedding pictures are really helpful. I've also read your prior post of your wedding review and it was great. My daughters wedding will be mid October and we are just in the process of getting our confirmations and making all these decisions which are nerve wracking but this forum is a great help. Thank you again and all the brides who are posting best wishes to all of you!

Hey Everyone!!! I finally got my date booked at the resort! So exciting and takes a lot of stress off- I couldn't even come up with a number of all the resorts I've been looking at.. The only thing that worries me is the communication with Anel seems to be a problem for getting answers to questions so I'm hoping I'll be able to get help from all of you and I'll try to help in return when I can!

I'm still trying to decide between the eternity and divine package. Does anyone know what kind of reception is included in these packages if any or do you have to pay for music and open bar once the dinner is done? I'm just not sure it's worth an extra $500 if the only extra things included is the video service which I don't really care for anyways and the dinner on the beach and 45 minute guitarist..

We have a kind of tight budget and want to be able to have a first dance and father daughter/mother son dance at least; just sucks if we have to pay for open bar for all of our guests on top of the package price

This website allows to check what time the sunset will be on your wedding day, and time some photography accordingly.

It is best to call them pretty early, before 11am at their time, after they get busy setting up weddings. Ask as many questions in one phone call.

As far as which package between Eternity or Divine, look at their page http://www.nowresorts.com/sapphire/weddings.html and download the wedding book for more details. I chose Divine because that page says it includes the gazebo decor, but I recently read here on this thread that it may be included in all the packages, please confirm with Anel or Ramon if it does. Oh and let us know here too.

Don't pay for the video, I don't like mine. it's amateur and tacky old soundtrack. I didn't want one anyway, it's really the only disappointment in my day. My guests would have done the same or better. The dinner on the beach was excellent, from the french restaurant, and turned out to be quite similar to our menu, so it was good to try before, and compliment our lack of time to try the French Restaurant. The spa massage is a definite recommendation. The musician was also a good thing, I wouldn't have paid for them but it added ambience to wait for me to come and walking down the aisle. That way we didn't have to pick another meaningful song and worry about it getting it played... The photo album is neat. We added a 3-hour photo package to the 1-hour included.

We rented the audio-video system for the evening, one flat rate and not per hour, pleyed our music from our ipod. The cocktail hour played Uncovered vol 2 by Ministry of Sounds. The dinner was with latin guitar from itunes. After the meal we had Uncovered vol 3 and 4 by Ministry of Sounds. The dinner includes alcohol service. The bar was set-up near by, it was included in mine. I wouldn't have paid for bar service knowing that it's free-flowing everywhere else on the resort... Overall I was very happy with how the day went, how they have under control, we worry way too much. Have a look at my profile for more pics and a detailed bill...

Good luck and happy planning.

Would you happen to know how much it is to put up paper lanterns at the beach Terrace. I planned on bringning my own but i think they charge for the set up and the poles. Thanks for your input on the terrace. It was actually my first choice because of how laid back it is!

    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
