hey, yes I've seen the photos from the resort package info pdf's from my TA - thanks! Well I'm glad you've seen it in person and approve! My other concern is where on the beach my ceremony will be now... I'm guessing not at the bottom of the tequila terrace steps anymore if someone else has that location booked for their reception! Did you happen to notice if there's more than one ceremony space on the beach? I really don't want to end up in the middle of the beach with random people walking behind my ceremony! And also wondering where I would be walking out from at another ceremony location. This is freaking me out a bit!

Try searching this thread or reading back a month or two. There was some talk about the ceremony location for the preferred pool option. I think it's at the far end of the beach near the swing bar. I didn't see that area though when I visited.

@@JaxBchKay - Looks like you had fun  :) Love the cocktails! Do you know what they were?

Watermelon Margaritas maybe?  I didn't ask but they were delicious!

@@jessiker05 - There are three different beach locations they use for ceremonies.  There is only one ceremony per location per day so you won't share.  The beach spot that goes with the Preferred Pool is on the opposite side of the resort from the Tequila Terrace but it's really pretty, it is close to the swing bar on the beach so people at the bar can see your ceremony but it's far enough away that they wouldn't be in your pictures or anything.  There were DJ's at the preferred pool the whole time we were there (almost 2 weeks) for receptions, and it looked really pretty.

I booked my wedding through the resort directly over a year in advance to be sure I got the Tequila Beach and Tequila Terrace, then I used my travel agent for the room block separately.  It worked great and there were no miscommunications!

Thank you!  We danced down the aisle to Bruno Mars "Marry You" and then back up the aisle to "Happy" :)  We wanted to just enjoy every minute and we did!

I have to say, I love how colorful your wedding was!  I bet your hubby was very happy he got to wear shorts, mine wanted to but I wouldn't let him :)

@@JaxBchKay Awesome pictures! Looks like it was a perfect day! You looked gorgeous - I love your dress! I'm also using turquoise as my colors.. I love how your table was setup, did you bring all the little candles? Thanks for sharing!

@@jessiker05 What is Las Lloronas? I don't see a restaurant or bar named that on their web site...

It isn't a restaurant but it's a little spot kind of on the side of the main pool (I think).. here are some pics..

I'm sorry but that's unacceptable and total b.s. Who is your TA and what are they doing to make up for their f up?? Do you have anything in writing confirming that they had booked the Tequila Terrace for you? My TA has really good relationships with these resorts so if it's not too late for you to switch she might be able to help you. Maybe then you can get the space you want but just shift the time your ceremony starts?

@@jeffandrobyn we are using destinationweddings.com. It's complete bs and I was so upset about it that I won't even speak to her anymore, my fiancé unfortunately has to. I had an email that I asked her if we were confirmed for the date, time, and locations I requested and she said, "absolutely". We are currently working with destination weddings.com customer service to get some sort of compensation since it is too late at this point to change, since there is another wedding at the tequila terrace that day and the day before and after. What upset me the most about it is my TA continues to act like it was not her fault and I should have known that the tequila terrace would be booked. She does this for a living, I am doing this for my first time, so I'm not sure how I should have known!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
