No, we have an hour in between. It will look like this:

5:00pm - ceremony at Tequila Beach

5:30pm - 6:30pm - pictures

6:30pm - 7:30pm - cocktail hour

7:30pm - 10:30pm - reception

And then we plan on moving the party over to the club to anyone who is interested.

My timeline for april 18 is the same :) I keep wanting to extend the reception but it does seem a lil silly with resort club on site

Few questions some of you might be able to answer before I email Ramon

1. Decorations for the canopy are they cost extra? What does the bamboo canopy look like?

2. Music for the ceremony, what is easier ipod or cd?

3. Colored napkins do they cost extra?

4. Chair bows, 5$ a chair do you pay for them twice once for the ceremony and once for the reception?

5. If I am not using the photographer can  I use this money towards something else?

Someone was looking for a thank you note template. This is mine and I am more than willing to share. attachicon.gifthanks.PNG

1. Flowers cost extra for the canopy i think $100-150. Im going to see if they can move them from the canopy to the guest book table during the photo/cocktail hour.

2. Were doing a DJ but if I heard of other brides bringing an iPod and speakers themselves

3. Colored napkins are extra but I can't remember how much. I'm getting mine ahead of time so I can fold /wrap them ahead of time. My friend bought her linens on http://www.linentablecloth.com/& ill be buying my sashes/ napkins & runners from them.

4. I Believe you would pay once but they charge $2 to move the chair

5. No they don't let you move prices/credits but you can use the photographer another day. Were doing ours another day when i 'trash' the dress on the beach.

Does anyone have some insight on how big the tequila terrace is?  Any pictures to share?

We are expecting about 80 guests and I'm concerned that there won't be enough room to dance.  Any advice is greatly appreciated! :)

I believe the Tequila Terrace holds about 60 People it is outlined in the wedding booklet. I am getting married April 25, 2015 so I'll be there when you are as well.

Hi @@TCM4252015

Thanks for your help!  Ramon had mentioned that the space is suitable for 100 people so I will have to double check on this.

2015 will be here before we know it!  Hope your planning is going well :)

I have heard there are dress codes at some of the restaurants is this true? If so what are they and where can I find them?

I think the men have to wear pants and no flip flops or shorts. Its on the wedding site for sapphire now and it should be in your wedding guide.

Like @@TCM4252015 mentioned, the dress codes are on the website.  Looks like most of them are "Casual Elegance" with the exception of the Cafes - Market Cafe, Coco Cafe, and Barefoot Grill - being a bit more casual.

Casual Elegance

Sneakers/tennis shoes or sandals and dress shirts with short sleeves or shirts are required. Long pants are required for men. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops allowed. http://www.nowresorts.com/sapphire/gourmet-dining

Oh!  @@jh0510038, I'm just a couple weeks after you!  You'll have to let us know how everything goes! :)

Ramon definitely knows his stuff.  He was our WC and was fantastic.  The tequila terrace is big.  If you google "Tequila Terrace Now Sapphire" you can view a lot of photos.

The dress code applies to all of the restaurants except the buffet.  It applies more to the men.  My husband wore dress sandals, pants, and a collared shirt (golf shirt was fine) to all of the restaurants and he was fine.  I either wore a dress or capri pants with a nice tank top.

I have a question for past brides.... did you leave your wedding bands in the safe up until the wedding? I have heard such bad stories about stuff like this and was just curious how it went for you.

Thanks :D

I'm getting married on the beach terrace April 24,2015. I'm curious if any past brides have pictures of their wedding on the beach terrace? Or even on the tequila terrace if they didn't have a dance floor. I don't want to pay $700 for a dance floor but I'm nervous it might look awkward without a designated dance floor area.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
