How is everyone's planning going? We are all getting so close. 4 months out!

Flowers?? What is everyone doing for flowers?

We are 28 days from the wedding...doing flowers from the resort florist. We are taking lanterns and wooden letters, so we don't need a lot of flowers and I don't want to have to meet anyone at the gate to pick them up! I guess flowers were the one thing I was willing to pay a little more for. I am really upset about the cost of the sound system...The wedding book said $150.00, but they e-mailed me and said that was per hour! I think I am just going to go buy a Bose sound system and take it with us...one more thing to pack...

We also thought that the cost for the sound system was a bit ridiculous.  The speakers are included for your ceremony.  We then had the guitarist (included in our divine package) play during our cocktail hour - he has his own sound system.  We purchased a portable battery powered speaker system from costco.  We love it as it also runs on bluetooth.  It was small enough to fit in our carry on luggage and we have used it several times since the wedding.  I think it cost us 120-130$ - less than one hour of speaker rental at NS.

You must be getting really excited!  I am doing my own silk flowers for the bouquets and we are taking them with us.  I am too much of a control freak to trust a florist I have never met :)  But we are using the resort florist for a couple centerpieces (the one included in the package and one extra)  the design I want for those is extremely simple.

My invitations came in the other day and they look great :)  I'm still trying to decide the best time to send them though, how far in advance do everyone send theirs?

Just wondered if anyone has used DJ Movil? We are getting married in January 2015 and trying to decide between the DJ the resort provides or an outside DJ. Any recommendations?

I am also getting married in January and hired Disco Movil. They were the best priced when I did all my comparisons.

I have 5 weeks! I have 42 people including us.  im stressing a lot now. mainly about music...im using DJ Mannia bc they had great reviews on here, but im so nervous trusting they have all the music I want..and its a lot of work to back up all your own music, especially when your paying them..

im using Floreria Riviera for flowers. a lot of women on here have used them so it felt safe .Alina is fast to respond and answered all my questions. cheaper too.

I sent out my invites in January. so 11 months in advance. I had a room block and that expired in june.but not everyone booked on the room block.i had people book this week still 5 weeks out. I know everythings gonna go well but I have SO MUCH on my mind now that im 39 days out.

I bought the harmon/kardon bluetooth sound system to take! It was expensive, but I'll get to keep it after and it sounds amazing! We are 20 days from leaving! We just heard back that we were comped 1730.00 toward rooms! More than expected because his family was giving the TA grief and I told them to book with whoever they wanted!

Hi brides! Happy Oct 1st!! 122 days until my wedding day! I was wondering if you are having the resort do your makeup, do you know if they use airbrush makeup or what kind of makeup are they using?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
