Now Sapphire Weddings Formerly Paradisus Riviera

Recommended Posts

@@Melissa Erling after looking over the wedding book and a spreadsheet of wedding costs from one of the brides on BDW, it looks like Now Sapphire charges you $10 per chair for the upgrade. Hope that helps!

Happy Planning,

Kristen.

@@meganator22 I am so sad to hear that they won't allow bond fires :( I have always thought I would have one at our wedding for guests to step away and enjoy some s'mores. I guess we will have to save that for our San Diego at home reception.

Ugghhhh I know :( I wanted one too! I wanted to do those lanterns also for my mom and grandma who both passed away but they said it's against that part of the beaches rules apparently. It's probably some sort of liability for them. Random lol but they do have an amazing fire show there, on the beach...get there early and get good seats because it is phenomenal!! Fire made me think of that hahaha

With all this discussion about bond fires and lanterns...it makes me wonder what their policy on real candles are? Can we have real candles or should I be looking for flameless?

I am not sure. Keep in mind it can be windy (but still gorgeous) there...at least when we went it was...and I've heard from lots of others, it was the same way. I'd maybe bring the flame less ones just in case or just stick with them?

post-275068-0-99802200-1393600653_thumb.jpgMy Wedding Invitiations arrived last week! I'm so excited and finally feel like the wedding is actually coming up fast! I worked with Amber from Suite Paper and she was absolutley amazing. She created exactly what I wanted within my budget and was so easy and professional to work with.

Can someone tell me how you paid the final bill at the resort? Can you use a credit card? Also if you used a vendor from teh resort ( dj, band, etc.) do you pay them separate or does the resort charge you for that in final bill? We are trying to figure out when we pay the final bill  ( I'm assuming its'a fter we meet with Anel when we arrrive on the resort)

We paid our final bill the day before the wedding.  The invoice came to our room the day after we had our meeting.  I went to the Wedding Office with my dad and paid for it using my credit card.  The charge was in USD, not pesos.

@@DinaQtobe thanks for the info very helpful. One more question just to clarify: When you paid the bill the vedors you used through the resor ( Photo, florist,DJ,etc.) were also included? Or did you pay those separate?

Thanks

We went exclusively with what was included in our package.  The photographer was included in our package, as were the flowers.  Our cost was the package cost, minus the $500 we paid  to reserve our date.  We paid that amount in the wedding office the day before the wedding as one large lump sum.

That being said, we did opt to get 3 extra photos from Adventure Photos (the photographer) which cost 45$ extra.  That we paid directly to them.

I don't know if that answers your question as we didn't have any extra vendors, not even a DJ.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
