Now Sapphire Weddings Formerly Paradisus Riviera

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies!

My fiancé and I are getting married at the Now Sapphire April 2015. I realize this is over a year in advance but I was wondering if the rate my travel agent has given us is the best rate. Before we lock it in, I'm just curious is $250 a night per couple good? The total comes out to roughly $1000.00 per couple for 5 days and $1500 per couple for 7 days.

Thanks!

Breanna

Does anyone know if they will do a bonfire on the beach for the welcome reception or if that's an option at the resort at all?

I would love to do something like that but I really don't hear back from Anel ever so even if I ask I won't hear back. If someone has already researched this information please let me know!

Thanks

One more question for the girls who have already gotten married or are withing 45 days of the wedding. once you fill out your planning form and send to Anel does she actually finally respond to you because of the close date to you rwedding? Or do you have to call to set up time to walk through the planning form? Or do you not review the planning form until you get to the resort for your wedding?

No they will not let you, I inquired about this as well! :(

And surprisingly when you are there they go over everything with you even more...and finalize everything. You talk with Ramon or Anel for as long as you want and they go into lots of details. It's a complete different ball game when you are actually there! They treat you like royalty and go wayyyy overboard with details. I'd imagine you can call but when you get there I PROMISE everything will be taken care of plus wayyy more. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

I had a couple questions if any of you ladies know the answers!

If we want to upgrade the chairs do we pay the $5 difference from the basic chair to the tiffany chair or do they charge $10 even for the chairs that are included?

Does anyone have an idea of what the hair and make up charges are? And do you recommend them?

Thanks!!

I believe the cost for hair was $55USD for my bridesmaids ($65 at the most).  Their hair turned out very pretty.  I was the only one to have make-up done.

@@Melissa Erling after looking over the wedding book and a spreadsheet of wedding costs from one of the brides on BDW, it looks like Now Sapphire charges you $10 per chair for the upgrade. Hope that helps!

Happy Planning,

Kristen.

@@meganator22 I am so sad to hear that they won't allow bond fires :( I have always thought I would have one at our wedding for guests to step away and enjoy some s'mores. I guess we will have to save that for our San Diego at home reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
