No mam! They did it without us even knowing! You're talking about the couple pouring the sand into the bottle together right? Every ceremony that was there, that we saw that week had one....I assume they do it for everyone...and you keep the bottle :)

@@DinaQtobe Is Anel the wedding coordinator? And did you work with a TA?

There are two wedding coordinators: Anel and Ramon.  We had Ramon and he was fabulous.  I'm sure Anel is wonderful too.  I did not work with a TA.  My guests booked on their own, and this worked well for us.  We had a very small wedding and there would have been no perks of using a travel agent.

Brides that have already gotten married at Now Sapphire-

Regarding flowers...I just got the 50 page attachment call "Wedding Book for Now Sapphire" with the email confirmation of our date and location. It has the wedding packages, menu options, floral options, ect. Did you get to pick the colors of your flowers or did you actually have to pick one of the photos for your flowers? I just had a vision in my head of what my flowers would look like and those pictures don't really fit it. Please advise :)

When you get there, they set you up with a meeting with either Ramon or Anel and you go over every little detail, they'll show you pictures too...they have A LOT of stuff....he asks you what colors you want and will help you pick...you get to pick your colors of everything, including your flowers. I had a massive bouquet of peach, pink and cream roses. It was very nice and they didn't skimp on the roses at all. All of the flowers turned out soooo pretty.

I agree with Megan.  I sent in some photos of what I wanted, and the colors.  I also picked one of the bouquets out of the Wedding Book that most closely resembled what I had in my head.  When I met with the WC a few days before the wedding we went over this again.  My flowers were beautiful - were exactly what I wanted, and the bridesmaids bouquets and centerpiece were beautiful too!

Would anyone mind posting their wedding timeline? Like for example this is kinda of we are thinking for our wedding in January.

Ceremony starts ay 4pm

Family pictures from 4:30-5pm

Couple pictures from 5-6pm

Cocktail hour from 6-7pm

Reception from 7-9pm

This issue actually came up because my photographer asked about it.

I am just kinda wondering if my timeline is reasonable or even how flexible Now Sapphire is with the timeline?

Our timeline:

3:30 - ceremony
4:00 - photos with family
4:30 - cocktail hour, bride groom do photos

5:30 - reception starts.

Our wedding was in November and the sun set very early then, which is why everything was so early!

@@DinaQtobe and @@meganator22 Does anyone know any details about the welcome bags? How did you have the delivered?

Were your bags customized for specific guests with their name? Or were they all the same and you had the resort just drop off to everyone included in the party?

I don't want to overcomplicate but there are some families so I will need to include more stuff in the bag if it's a room of 2 vs. 4,etc.

Also how much does the resort charge to deliver the bags? Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
