Amanda, thank you so much for your post. What was your photographer's name at the now sapphire. I am hoping I can request her. Thanks!
Oh my I can't think today. Still in vacation mode. I will find out her name and ask my HUSBAND lol not fiancé...gotta get use to that one. She is talk with short curly dark brown hair. She was there every day we were so I'm guessing you could definitely request her

Let me know if you have any specific questions you are still waiting on answers to

Thanks for sharing the pictures! Did you bring the flowers for the cake or was that the cake the resort did for you? Looks gorgeous!

Hi everyone! I have my wedding there on Feb. 6th 2014! We are very excited to be there but I have read that the communication sucks as I am having the same issues. I have been asked to change wedding planners as well. I have been emailing for 2 months without any communication back. I then wrote on their facebook page which kind of helped. I got an email from Anel finally and sent back 15 questions and it has been a week now with nothing. I understand they are busy but they are also running a business. I have now written back on their facebook wall and see what happens now but according to their calendar they have ( 3-6 months you do this, 2-3 months you do this) I am supposed to have known half of the check offs and I don't. I am hoping that if I stay on top of them they will do something about it! Is anyone else besides a couple of people had the same problem? Does it get better the closer you are to your date? I am slightly freaking out here!

The flowers for the cake were provided by the resort. I had sent them a picture of a cake I saw from another bride on here actually (I forget who!) and included this along with my wedding planning form. I did the same for the setup for ceremony and reception and everything was exactly how I wanted so I highly recommend including pics!

The communication is slow I will not deny that. I recommend marking your subject and email "Urgent" and include a timeframe for them, such as requesting a specific date for a response so you can move on with your wedding planning. Anel has been backlogged since she had a bad accident and communication will hopefully be better for you as you get closer but keep in mind almost everything is finalized when you get to the resort and they really are on top of things when you get there.. they were extremely accommodating to all of my requests. Try to ask as many questions on here as you can, it really helps!

Congrats!! Enjoy every moment. We leave for ours in 7 months and tomorrow, ironic! I would be interested in the whole mini planning meeting and how that exactly goes. Also are you using the sound system down there? We want to know what it is and could we bring a laptop if needed.  Have a great time!!
We had our meeting with Ramon this morning. He is fantastic. He made great suggestions to us. The meeting went well. We went over everything in our planning form and he double checked everything. answered our questions. Then he showed us the wedding location and a back up in case of rain. I feel that he explained everything very well and knows what he is doing. We have complete confidence that our day will be great :) We aren't using the speakers, but I am positive that you can use a computer with the ones they have. The resort is great, we love it. Just hoping for no rain on Thursday!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
