As an aside, the pools are gorgeous - and huge.

I just saw this. THANK YOU so much for your response. This was my biggest concern. Because of your response, I can stop waking up at 3am wondering if people will be bored during the day. Thank you!

Our wedding is in 2 weeks and I'm afraid its going to be raining! Any former brides have experience with bad weather or see another wedding while you were there that had to be moved for rain from the beach?

I'm sorry I don't have any info, but I did want to share that I saw a picture when it was raining and there were 4-6 NOW Sapphire workers holding something over the bride to shield her from any rain as she crossed a bridge.

I thought it was so cool and as a bride it brought tears to my eyes because I could tell the workers made it special no matter what!

If anyone else has an answer to this question, I would also like to know. Thanks :)

Someone recently posted $65.00 for hair and $55.00 for makeup. I wrote it down to add to the budget for my daughter's wedding in January, 2014.

Your wedding will be here soon! You must be so very excited! Best wishes!!

Thank you for the information.

Yes, the wedding is coming up so quickly.  It is a very exciting time!  We still have a bit to do, but it's all the small stuff.  Your daughter's wedding is very close too!

She handled organizing guests coming from 7 different states across the country, our travel documents, airport transfers and although her portion of our wedding is essentially done she is still responding to questions and offering to make contacts to the resort on our behalf when they don't respond to us. She also helped us make the final decision on which resort to go with based on her own extensive knowledge of resorts in the Maya Riviera region. There is a small fee for her services but after it is almost all said and done well worth it. She even spent a couple of hours on the phone with me before I officially chose to use her services. This is not a paid advertisement for her, I saw her booth at a bridal fair, picked up a brochure and contacted her from that, lol, I've actually never met her in person outside of seeing her at the fair. But she was quick and had us all set up in a short amount of time. Hope this helps

Thank you so much for this information. I am going to check out this website.

Hello Brides,

Has anyone visited NOW Sapphire recently who can tell me details about the beach?

I'm concerned about reviews (older ones) that say there is a lot of seaweed/jellyfish in the water. I really want to make sure it is a clean beach with a nice, swimmable area before finalizing our wedding date. This is important to us.

Thank you for your help!

Hey Ladies,

So we have gotten to the time where our guests confirmed to travel for our June 2014 wedding. We have 37 coming right now, crazy we thought only 25 would come.

So I'm curious is everyone is doing a welcome dinner for that many people and how much it would cost? I don't want to break the bank, but I think it would be nice to gather everyone that has come so far for us.

Also for dinner menus are people just going to pick one meal and serve everyone that or give your guest an option of two ahead of time. Anel said we could do two meals we just have to be very clear who gets what. What are people doing?

Lastly I learned that night club is for 18+ and I have a niece and nephew that are under age. When the reception stops where did people head??? I heard the lobby bar, but want to make sure they will have a place to go??

Glad to here Anel is almost back.. she was much missed!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
