I heart you for the pics! Very elegant. One queston..I'm also having my ceremony on the Tequila Terrace b/c my FI refuses to walk on the sand! Anyway, did you pay additional for the arrangements by the chuppah?

Hi, yes. We paid approximately $150 per piece for the orchids next to the chuppa. The chuppa itself was stunning - HUGE! We didn't pay extra for that. I'll try to upload my bill so you can see what we paid for the individual items. However, I will note that we were not successful negotiating at all. We tried to negotiate price reductions on a number of things and we didn't get anywhere....

These pictures are actually way better quality than we saw from some of the other resort photographers. The photographer was Ernesto. If you use them, I'd ask for him.

Your pictures are beautiful! When do you get your wedding pictures? How long did it take to get these?

It took a little less than two weeks to get these from the resort photographer. Our other photographer said it would be about 2 weeks to get a slideshow and 4-6 weeks for the full set of pictures.

Hey Ladies,

I'm getting married June 19, 2014!!

We are going to use our bridesmaid bouquets for our centerpieces and I'm going to have my MIL make some runners with my teal color to add some fun. We want to keep it simply and use the beach as part of our decorations.

For the ladies that already go married, how long should one plan for hair and makeup? Just curious as I have some girls getting hair done as well and want to give all of us enough time.

Also does anyone know how old people need to be to enter to disco or other bars? I have a niece and nephew who will be 13 and 16 and we are not extending our reception, but I want to make sure they can come with us to continue the celebration.

To follow up ladies I asked Anel about having two dinner choices and this is Anel emailed me this:

YOU NEED TO SELECT ONE MENU; ONE SALAD, ONE SOUP, ONE MAIN COURSE AND ONE DESSERT.   WE CAN GIVE YOU THE OPTION PICK 2 MAIN COURSES, BUT YOU NEED TO GIVE ME THE FINAL COUNT IN ADVANCE, HOW MANY PEOPLE IS GOIG TO EAT OPTION ONE AND OPTION 2?   YOU ALSO NEED TO BRING COLORED PLACE CARDS, IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THE GUEST WHO ARE GOING TO EAT OPTION ONE AND OPTION 2.   PLEASE SEE AN EXAMPLE BELOW.

Hair for me = 1 hour

Make-up = 30 minutes

I can't speak to the club in terms of whether the young people would be allowed in. Honestly, the club smelled really moldy and gross, so no one wanted to go in, so we stayed at the lobby bar (which was still really fun - if I remember correctly, there was still live music until about midnight). They definitely didn't give the young people any trouble for being there.

It looks like you are on the Tequila Terrace... did you wear heels and if so, were the wood slats THAT big of an issue for you?

Also, can anyone help me visualize where the Beach Terrace and Tequila Terrace are in relation to one another?  Do you know if they give you the option of having ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on the Beach Terrace then reception on the Tequila Terrace (or vice versa)?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
