While were waiting to see you're wedding pics, can you share some ideas of what you've planned for decorations, welcome bags, meal orders etc. Thanks, still in the planning for Oct wedding and anxious to get things tied up!
My colors are plum and wisteria. For decorations I am doing wisteria chair satin sashes, napkins and table runners. My table overlay is plum. I have rhinestone napkin ring holders. I am doing my own centerpieces which will be purple water beads in a huge glass bowl with a submergable tea lights at the bottom to reflect. The bowl will be sitting overtop of a mirror. I wanted to do chinese lanterns, however I was told it was cost $900 to put up. I ordered the Silver Photo Booth for my reception. My wedding will take place on the beach. I ordered Plum colored fans to place in each chair. I also bought plum and wisteria tulle to drape the canopy on the beach. My welcoming bags consist of personalized beach towels, personalized flip flops from partyflops.com, personalized cups with built in straw. I also did a survival kit with first aid package, lip balm, sunscreen, motrin, pepto bismol and insect repellent. I bought huge canvas beach bags from pricewisefavors.com that say WELCOME TO OUR WEDDING to place everything in. On the day everyone arrives, I am havinga private an all you can eat bbq buffet on the beach with open bar for my guest. I will pass my bags out there. Needless to say, I have 44 guest. 40 adults and 4 kids. I have already spent a small fortune.

We have the date booked for May 24, 2014!! :)

I have a long time before I have to start planning out little details but am too excited and want to figure everything out!

I was wondering what past or future brides are doing about photography. I'm thinking I for sure want a photographer other than the resorts but we have a tighter budget so the gorgeous photos by delsol won't be an option either.. haha

Also I am wanting to order some flowers the resorts seem to be a little overpriced..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
