We ordered luggage tags for each of our guests. We are going to mail the luggage tags with a packing & Mexico tips letter before the wedding. Has anyone else done this? Any suggestions on what to include in our letter?

Hi Mya062813,

I created a brochure for my guests with packing tips, resort info, schedule of events, etc.  I can send it to you for ideas if you want....if you're interested, send me your email address.  :-)

Congrats on your wedding. LOVE LOVE your dress!!

I see that you used DJ Mannia. Did you have to use an outside vendor fee for them? Or are they the in house vendor? Also do you have an email contact for the florist you used?

Thanks!

There was an outside vendor for DJ Mannia, but we had budgeted for it after reading through this forum. They did not charge an outside vendor fee for photography - only the day pass for each photographer.

here is the email info for the florist: info@floresrivieramaya.com

Thank you! Is the in house DJ bad? I've been trying to figure out who it is but Anel hasn't responded and I must've missed any mentions on here about them.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,

Dina

We took the private transportation included in The Divine. It was very quick after the customs, someone was waiting for us just outside. Same thing as every one else rode in though, one of those 9 seater shuttle to ourselves, with water bottles to drink. Nothing fancy at all. We were the only ones of our party arriving at that time, but if we were travelling with other guests, it would have been nice to ride with them. But again, take the most advantage of the divine package... Also, as soon as you arrive, the hotel staff check you in in the preferred club, set up your appointment with the WC, refreshments, invite you to sales pitch for time share (which we skipped all together bc of time away from guests...)

Cheers

I was wondering if any past brides can help me out with something.  I've spent quite a bit of time on the Now Jade thread reading all of the posts (thought it would be helpful as the resorts are sister properties).  I know that at the Jade, included with the divine package the gazebo is decorated with flower medallions.  I am curious if this is the same with the Sapphire.  In the divine package for the Sapphire, the brochure says "Canopy décor - chairs with white covers, ceremonial table and carpeted walkway".  Does anyone know if that includes any kind of flowers, or is it just the white material?  If it's included I would like to use the flowers from the gazebo as centerpieces after the ceremony.  I am sorry if this was asked previously.

Thanks,

Dina

Hi Dina,

It includes the centerpiece of your choice, which you definitely can use for your dinner table.

Cheers,

Mylene

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
