Now Sapphire Weddings Formerly Paradisus Riviera

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am so indecisive and having to pick between Now Sapphire, Dreams Riviera, and Dreams Puerto Vallarta is proving to be a lot more difficult than I though. Please help me to choose. :) I want to have a decision by Monday, knowing me, I will change it a million times by then lol Any advice? Thanks so much ladies. I have read through a lot of these posts, as well as the other boards and am so relieved at how many sweet ladies are willing to take time out to give advice and what not. It's awesome! Thank you

Hi TauruSmith,

Interesting... I didn't come across that, and the small prints after the description of each make it pretty clear. You can look at my wedding bill from the resort in my pictures, they accounted for the 500$ deposit. My card was charged 500$ the same day I booked the date. Hope that helps... Happy Prep !

Hi meganator22

You can't go wrong with the Dreams and Now Family resorts. I haven't looked at the wedding packages of the other two but you might want to compare what's offered for how much and what's included in each level of package. Maybe the looks of each resorts by looking at pics and comments on Trip Advisor. And finally the size of the resort. I had really good comments from my guests for the size of Now Sapphire, the common areas/restaurants are fairly close to each other. The common areas at Now Sapphire are close to the beach, look at the resort map and the layout. The beach has really really fine sand, finer than Tullum area and Playa Del Carmen. I thought choosing the resort was the most difficult. After that, it's up to you how you want to complicate yourself or not ie go with what the resort offers or choose and shop outside vendors... Hope that helps, and happy prep !

Hi Megan,

Congrats on deciding with a destination wedding...now good luck on deciding where to get married! After the hard decision to move our wedding from Maui to an AI resort we knew we wanted to make the most of our small budget. After much research we decided on the NOW resorts based of the fact that they allow 25 people vs 20 people in their packages. Dreams and Secrets are sister properties the package costs are the exact same as now. So why would I not want to have an additional 5 people that I could invite for the same price as the other resorts that only offer it for 20 people? As you can see from the pricing sheet it's super expensive per person outside the allotted amount. Also the resort is beautiful so it was a no brainer. As far as your dilemma goes between choosing between Puerto Vallarta and Cancun. They are both so different because one is east cost/gulf coast facing and one is west coast/pacific facing. Both are beautiful but different. Cancun has the turquoise blue waters while Puerto Vallarta has the plush jungle feel to the area. So it's a toss up!

Speaking of resort credits Mylene did you guys get your "free" rooms offered for so many rooms book? This may be an Apple vacations special. But if you did was this reimbursed before leaving for Mexico or at check out?

Thanks so much!! You have been so sweet and helpful already. I really appreciate that. I am so bad at reading reviews and people's reviews that they have gotten sick because of the food scares the crap out of me! I know people can be such a holes sometimes too though. I am also nervous about all the add on prices that add up so friggen quickly!! I made a decision to get married in cancun, so now it's between NOW and Dreams riviera, one decision down lol millions to go. What photographer are you going with? I want to have an awesome photographer since you only have one wedding. I guess I am a little thrown off by the packages, because it would be silly of me to get the eternity package and pay 500 extra for a video when I could pay 500 extra and get a few more extra perks plus the video, does that make sense? I don't need the other things that come with the eternity package, but might as well if I will pay that extra for a video. Maybe I am reading it all wrong! Thank you again for everything!!! you are so sweet

I went back and looked at your bill. I see where they accounted for the deposit. Thanks so much for the info!

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of booking our date!  I am so excited.  I have a question for you Now Sapphire Brides:

When sending in your Credit Card authorization form, is it necessary to already have your trip booked?  The form is asking for our reservation name and confirmation number.  My Fiance and I want to book the resort before we book our trip - to make sure we get our date, etc.  Perhaps this is just a general form for all credit card payments?

Thanks!

Dina

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
