I have planned for a few extras just in case some do show up last minute. but families can change my numbers quite a bit. Is it too short to have it back for Feb 28? My wedding is April 8 and we leave on the 5th. Also for location are you guys putting Riviera Maya, Mayan Riviera or Puerto Morelos?

Thanks for your input

Hi Noxx,

My wedding was on March 16th and my RSVP date was March 1st.  I basically knew who was/wasn't coming because anyone who was interested had let me know or had contacted my travel agent for more info.  I also had an at home celebration on March 24th so I just used the same RSVP date for that too in the same invitation envelope.  I did not have to give the Sapphire my final count until 2 weeks prior to me coming down so my date worked out well

For the location, I put 'Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun'.

I'm getting married February 21, 2013 and I asked for all rsvp's to be in by December 1. This was a couple months in advance but I did this for a couple of reasons: I sent STD's out 10 months prior so people had a lot of time to figure out if they could come or not, I didn't want them to get lost on everyone's to do lists during the holidays, and I am ordering a bunch of things such as favors, OOT bags and things to go in them. I don't want to way over or under buy the items and need the time to get them.

Hi Noxx,

We're getting married 05/31/13 and I'm getting ready to send my invites out now with an RSVP date of March 01, 2013. Our trips have to be paid off 6 weeks before our take off date so that would be mid April. I wanted to give any last minute deciders time to pay the trip as well as give me a clear idea of who is in and out. But we pretty much are solid right around 25 plus or minus 3 potential guests. Our invites say Now Sapphire Riviera Maya, Mexico. Hope this helps and good luck!

Best,

Melissa

has anyone used/booked Adrian Guerra to do their hair/makeup at the Now Sapphire?  i read in an earlier post that the resort charges a $300 outside vendor fee.  My sister got married at the Barcelo Colonial last january; they also had an outside vendor fee, but did not charge her for using Adrian because apparently he has a deal worked out with some of the wedding coordinators at some resorts so the brides wont have to pay the vendor fee if they use him.

has anyone getting married or already married at the Now Sapphire encountered this?

Thanks!!

sorry for the delayed response on this one...

I contacted adrian guerra and he said the he does not have a deal worked out with Now Sapphire but if they plan to charge the fee, he would contact them and see if he could work something out.

I then emailed Anel to ask if they will charge the outside vendor fee, even though their spa doesnt offer airbrush makeup. she has not yet responded.

And then, after all that... I ended up buying an airbrush makeup kit. one of my bridesmaids is a natural with cosmetics, so we are going to do it ourselves. Cant wait for it to arrive so we can start practicing! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
