I mean the pics they have on the website are beautiful but they're photoshopped that way! Best of luck to you. Btw what day do you get down there? We get married on 05/31 and our last day there is 06/03. Maybe we'll be there at the same time!!

Sorry I actually didn't take too many great pics, used my iPhone bc we couldn't find our camera charger! But I'll tell you that everything really does look like what it does in the pictures, w/ the exception that the water isn't that totally clear blue and there is seaweed on the beach like everyone says. But hey, it's a beach what do you expect, and they clean it up every fews hours w/ a tractor. The rooms are exactly like what it looks like online, and are very nice and clean. The resort is so pretty at night - they have lanterns everywhere in the main lobby areas and is beautiful. And we arrive on 5/31 at the resort! Are you doing the Tequila Terrace or the Beach Terrace for your reception?

So what if I get the tiffany chairs? those will be on the beach and at the reception? I was thinking they would move all the chairs from the beach up to the tequila terrace and place them around the dinner tables? They don't move the ceremony chairs to the dinner reception. You wouldn't want them doing that while your guests are around anyways .

Ok, I know there has to be someone out there who is as OCD as me and has a spreadsheet or their final contract with how much everything cost including all those last minute extras such as fees for hanging items, or renting vases, etc.? I think we need to make a"sticky" with all that kind of info!
I saved the bill that I REceived the day after the wedding. I have such OCD but believe me once your there with the coordinators and such it will be perfect . There will be one or two things your realize a week later looking at pictures that it wasn't exactly what you said or want but it will be amazing . I stressed for over a year and I regret that part of my planning .

Hi, I'm getting married there next June and would love to see any pictures you may have. I'm still debating on the cocktail hour on the beach or on the terrace, what did you do? My email is emheegs@gmail.com. Did you happen to have a rehearsal dinner? I've emailed the coordinator several times about this, but still haven't heard back in 2 months. I'm also looking for a photographer, as that is probably the most important part of the wedding for me. I saw you used Nunez, would you recommend him/does he take creative pictures?

Thanks so much for any help,

Emily

Hi all!!

I am new to this website and am getting married at the NOW Sapphire on January 5, 2013 - right around the corner! I wish I had known about this site earlier. I have hired Photos in Cancun for the photography and DJ Mannia. I am still trying to figure out who to hire as a florist and a make up artist/hair stylist. I've emailed with Fernando Fuentos for hair & makeup, and Vanessa Jaimes for flowers. Any reviews on either of those people? I also just emailed Lucy with flowers by lucy.

What I'm really interested is hearing from anyone that has had their hair & make up done by the stylists at the resort. I'm sure they're great, but I just haven't heard anything. Can anyone give me their honest opinion?

My fiance and I visited this resort in June so I have some pictures of the resort if anyone is interested, just give me your email. Thanks :)

Ashley

I will send you some pictures now. The resort looks even better than the pictures online!

I am using Photos in Cancun. They have great prices & Derek is very quick to respond to emails. And best of all, he has photographed at the NOW Sapphire multiple times, so he's familiar with the resort.

As far as responses go, they are just slow. It is frustrating, but if you haven't heard back after a week, email again. If you still haven't heard back a few days later, email again. If you bug them enough, they'll email back. It's just how things are there. But rest assured, once you get there, they are very accommodating and will answer any and all questions you have!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
